@Spyder, my namager met with an artchitect today regarding the start of my project, and the artichet said everytime he is on site for any supervision we will have to pay him 10000 naira, he said he charges a daily fee of 10000 anytime he is on the site for supervision, Oga spyder what do you think of this? i have been following this thread since its inception and i have never heard anyone with that kind of arctichet, Oga spyder is this normal as in is it what is obatinable in the industry ie 10000 naira for daily supervision. Please i need help with this, thanks

Sometimes professional supervision fees are up to N10k each day but it depends on the project you are doing. For the plan you showed and the total expected volume of work to be done there, N10k is too much to pay. Most professional supervisors will only come in, spend a few hours or minutes, give directions and then move to another site.
Try to negotiate the entire project with him, stage by stage and amount for supervision of each stage.
Try and find out the reasons for the high demand, security, transport difficulties, etc.

I had to make sure the wall plates are tightly held by 8mm rods cast into the parapet.

I may peel all these off so we can see the way they look

Hmmmmm.. I am sure I have spent up to N370k on woods but it seems we still need some more wood and nails to be bought tomorrow.

Hey Spyder:

A few years ago, specifically 2011, I assumed we were all learning something from each other and I showed the project I was building in Port harcourt. It was a hostel that I showed on one of your threads. At that point it was at the first level decking. I had intended to give periodic updates. However, a critic who thought may be I was competing with him for contracts kept jousting about the project and. I just decided to mind my own business rather than engage in confrontation with this person that I'll rather not call by name. I am not a contractor and was not competing with this person but he was petrified nonetheless about me.

I know some of you may be interested in knowing how far. Thus, I have decided to give an update by pictures.
