Information filtering just revealed one of the major backers of the successful re election bid of Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole.

The individual is business giant- Alhaji Aliko Dangote.

Informants claimed the Chairman of Dangote group supported the relected state helmsman with all of N900m for the just concluded exercise.

Insiders revealed one of the nation's most influential and wealthy Nigerians perfected the act very quietly.

The money was reportedly made available ' a couple of weeks' to the saturday July 14 2012 election date.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote is known more as a financial contributor to activities of the People's Democratic Party.

Governor Oshiomhole is a chieftain of rival party- Action Congress of Nigeria.

It is not clear whether the man reputed to be the nation's biggest employer of labour contributed heavily to the campaign fund of the former labour leader's main rival and defeated PDP's flag bearer, Charles Arhiavbere or not.

Mr Esan Sunday, the media person for Alhaji Dangote did not respond to enquiry on the development.

If the story is anything to go by which I refuse to agree sha,that means dangote must have the plans to invest heavily in edo state,remember there is a cement factory there already and he needs favourable policy frm the edo state government.

What is wrong in that. besides the 900 million was for good governance and transperency which yielded credible elections in that state.

If at all these allegations is true. Is the Comrade Gov delivering? YES! Has he done much better tha majority of past Edo Governors? YES! I am not from Edo and not an CAN member but for goodness sake we are talking of performance here. He deserves a second term in office because he has done some 'though simple jobs' which his predecessors refused to do...Let's be objective in our criticsm of some of these political leaders
