I intend bringing in a car from the US for personal use which i just had an engine swap done on it already with the new engine clocking 105,000 miles while the old one reads 203,000 on the dash board...........Just for personal reasons, i will like to have an odometer roll back on it to read the new engine reading of 105,000. Where in Nigeria can i have that done. |

Guys in Nigeria here has a very wrong mentality and bad mouthing when it comes to odometer reading, its psychological anyway hence my reason for wanting to do that. |

It is fraudulent to so that. Whether it is car or not. In the US is a very serious crime. |

floridam: Rolling back the odometer reading of ur car will not enhance the efficiency of ur car. Don't think there is anything wrong in asking questions and mind you, Its not all attempt that is meant to swindle..............Keep smelling the rat, its very close to you. |

My advise: Odometer readings are just Numbers and as someone had rightly said, that doesn't determine the efficiency and performance of the Car. What matter most is how smooth the transmission is and the performance of the engine. Age is just a Number, an Old man might be healthier than a young man. 1 Like |

Thanks for the comments. Its not much of a problem as i thought it was even though i have a document backing up the engine swap. Having satisfy my curiosity and Judging by the advice here, I will leave it as it is. Thanks all. |
