Wild jubilation in Calabar as
workers get alerts for May salary
ON May 1, 2016 9:57 PM / IN

There was wild jubilation in
Calabar, on Sunday, as the state
Governor, Professor Ben Ayade
stunned labour leaders and
workers when he announced the
payment of salaries for the month
of May on the first day of the
month.
A mild drama immediately
ensued when the workers who
were at the U.J. Esuene Stadium
for the May Day celebration each
began to receive salary payment
alert from their various banks.
Unable to contain the excitement,
shouts of Alert! Alert!, rent the
stadium as the workers went into
a frenzy, singing the praises of
the governor.
Before now, the governor had
paid salaries between the 13th
and 20th day of each month.
Ayade told the workers, who
named him the Best Labour
Friendly Governor in Nigeria, that
his administration had a duty to
give workers in the state a sense
of dignity.

Cross River paid May salary on May 1st to celebrate workers day, Edo increased minimum wage to celebrate workers day and what do we get in Rivers State? APOLOGY! Na apology worker go take go market?!

How can the governor be apologising when there's no end in sight to this debacle especially with the coming biometrics exercise. I know that will give them more excuses why they'll delay payments. If they want to check ghost workers must the genuine workforce be made to pay thru their nose?

The Governor of Cross Rivers state, Prof Ben Ayade, is a good leader, despite the low allocation for his state he is always concerned with making workers happy by regularly paying salaries early. The people of Cross Rivers are lucky to have him as a governor. It is true as the bible said that when the righteous rule, the people rejoice.

For those still asking to know when the verification exercise will commence....... The date is 15th May, 2016.

ANOTHER CRUCIAL INFORMATION .
I was also showed today in school, the levy form which the Governor has ordered the permanent secretary, UBE board to sent notice to all the school heads/ principals.

The letter contains a list of what parents are to pay before a chid is registered in any government school in Rivers State.
In secondary schools, every thing summed up to 11,500 and in primary schools everything was summed up to 6,000.

THIS IS NEW RIVERS VISION!!!!!

My Able colleagues, l will like to encourage us mostly those that are yet to be paid, please do not loose hope yet, God can not take you this far just to abandon you. The word of God says that he sees the end from the beginning.
What you need now is not even the Governors intervention but God who made the impossible to be possible. Thanks....
