Nigeria's Falconets have fixed their eyes on Wednesday's Group B Matchday 2 game against Brazil at the Fifa Under20 Women's World Cup in Japan.

The nation's campaigners have put behind them the heart-warming 2-0 win against the Korea Republic on Sunday.

The team returned to training on Monday with coach Edwin Okon drumming it into the players' ears not to underrate their South American foes who split points with Italy in the opening game.

Falconets lead Group B on three points followed by Brazil and Italy on one point apiece while Korea are without a point.

Training continued on Tuesday at 3pm which is the official kick-off time for Wednesday's encounter and 7am in Nigeria. The weather condition in Japan is 29 degrees centigrade.

"You saw how they came back in the dying minutes of the match to score their equaliser.

"It shows that they are a team that you should not dismiss so easily. Yes, Italy had a player sent off but we have to be careful.

"This is a tournament that a game can change in five minutes that is why you must know the importance of being focused till the last minute," he added.

Defender Josephine Chukwunonye and striker Desire Oparanozie who had slight knocks have been declared fit by the team medical personnel for Wednesday's match.

For both sides, it will be the third meeting and sixth appearance in this competition.

On November 13, 2004 in Thailand, Nigeria defeated Brazil 3-2 in the group stage and two years later in Russia, the South Americans got their pound of flesh winning 3-2 in the quarterfinals.

Interestingly, the late Felix Ibeh who handled the team in Thailand was also the head coach of domestic side, Rivers Angels that Okon now handles.

Good game play, I love that last goal. That cross was spot on and headed in by a perfect header. Really nice game plan, atleast they stretched the opposition from all angles. I think the Falconets are the ultimate team to watch.
