Trouble and tragedy hit the Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa on Friday, when three friends were found dead in the room of the Emir’s son.

The bodies were identified as Ali Tajo, Mustapha Murtala and Nasiru Shehu, and it was reported that all three of them lived in the house owned by one of the sons of Alhaji Mahmoud Sayyadi, the Emir of Ringim.

The alarm was raised by one Magaji Tambura, a bricklayer working at the house. He said that he and a friend stumbled on the scene when they came to pick materials that he used a day before.

Magaji said that he knocked on the door, but there was no response, so he and other neighbours had to force the door open, upon which they discovered the bodies of the three friends.

Residents of the area have been speculating on the cause of death; however, the matter has been reported to the police and the corpses taken to the hospital for autopsy.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Jigawa State Police Command, Abdu Jinjiri, said that the state police command had been informed of the matter but they were yet to get proper details from the Divisional Police Officer at the Ringim Local Government Area.
