MultiChoice Nigeria wishes to inform you, our valued subscriber, of an impending price increase applicable with effect from 1 September 2012. The price increase has been necessitated by ongoing increases in the company’s operational and ancillary costs which include, but are not limited to, the cost of content acquisition & development, technical infrastructure, satellite lease, facilities and maintenance. While MultiChoice is committed to keeping subscription prices low, we are forced to implement an increase in order to continue to provide quality programming, improved customer service and deliver on our promise to remain the choice pay entertainment destination on the African continent.


You will be pleased to know that we have kept the increases on the different bouquets at the barest minimum, with an increase of 10% on the DStv Premium bouquet (from N 10, 000 – N 11, 000) still lower than the rate of inflation - currently put at 13.57% by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The increase on the DStv Compact Plus bouquet is 6.6% (from N7, 000-N 7, 500); DStv Compact being only 4.4% (from N 4, 800 – N5, 000) while DStv Family bouquet is only 6.0% (from N 2,800 – N 3,000). No increase on the DStv Access bouquet has been implemented, as a gesture to demonstrate our resolve to keep the increases within manageable limits during this harsh economic climate.
