I started my natural hair journey last year august and did my big chop last june. When my last perm chopped off my almost shoulder length hair for the third time, I knew that that was the end of perming for me.

its been a month i permed my hair n its shoulder length. nw after seeing all dz gorgeous natural hair n styling i hv made up my mind nt to perm again n go natural. hope i wil be patient enuf dough. tnx msd for bringin up ds thread. i need more variety of hair pics.

^^You have to be really sure that's what you want. Having naturals is not easy at all. It can be very frustrating especially when it's at a certain length.

Transitioning to natural hair is a process, it requires a lot of time, effort and effort. You can also cut off your relaxed ends and go on a low fro (the big chop) or you can transition slowly and allow the relaxed hair to progressively remove as your natural hair grows. But its a challenge to maintain two textures. Lastly, make the internet your best friend. Read blogs and websites and learn what works for your hair.

I've been seeing A LOT of people with natural hair nowadays on my campus, compared to last year.

It's getting more beautiful, I swear!! I'm loving it because these ppl are actually taking time to learn natural hair care, not just sitting by expecting it to grow.

Beautiful!! I swaer, I'm not just saying this because of some black power ish, the natural I've been seeing are well-treated and beautiful.

I'm thinking of dying my hair burgundy, but I'm scared that it'll think out my hair.
