In the days of SLATE and CHALK, I always receive 5 or 10kobo from my teacher for either doing my homework correctly or answering question in the class. I was the dangote of my class and will spend 5kobo to buy ice cream for all my guys.

Did well! 10kobo = 10 (sweet alangba) while 30kobo = 1 doughnut, days when coke(thick bottle) was 70kobo and crush/seveup family was 65kobo. 1 kobo was fading out then but then we still gather 5 and spend. N1 (red and later green coulour) was the big boys money sprayed at parties.

Yes I did! Wonderful memory!! I still remember put those coins under sheet of paper then shading it to reveals its different designs on the paper. At a time 10kobo bought you a plate of ewa goin, and a small loaf of bread(bun) back in the day. You got some cool tasting rice with 10 kobo, and another one of those would get you good kpomo and two eggs on your rice or yam porridge.
