GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
It is hereby announced for the information of the general public, particularly Deltans that the 2013 Competitive
Examination for entry into the Administrative and Special Departmental Cadres in the Delta State Civil Service has
been scheduled for Thursday, January 31 and Friday, February 1, 2013.
The following posts are open for competition:
i) Administrative Officer, Grade II, SGL 08,
ii) Auditor Grade II, SGL 08,
iii) Accountant Grade II, SGL 08,
iv) Registrar of Cooperative Societies Grade II, SGL 08,
v) Produce Officer Grade II, SGL 08, and
vi) Inspector of Taxes Grade II, SGL 08.
To be eligible for the examination, candidates should possess a degree in any of the following disciplines; Sociology,
Psychology, Public Administration, Political Science, international Relations, other Social Sciences, Liberal Arts,
Accounting, Banking and Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration and Agriculture.
The purpose of the written examination, which will consist of four papers namely, English Language (Essay/
Comprehension), General Paper (Essay) on Logical Thinking and Basic Statistics, General Knowledge I (Essay) and
General Knowledge II (Objective), is not to test candidates in the subject areas of their degrees but to test their
ability to think clearly, to understand and write English Language and also their knowledge of current affairs,
particularly, African affairs.
Interested candidates are advised to obtain entry forms from the Department of Recruitment and Promotions, Civil
Service Commission, No. 1 Victor Chuka Odogwu Crescent, Opposite St. Brigid’s Girls Grammar School, Asaba on
payment of a non-refundable fee of N7,000.00 (seven thousand naira) only in Bank Draft to the Civil Service
Commission’s UNITY BANK ACCOUNT NO. 341-357827-110 for onward remittance to ASCON.
It is pertinent to emphasized that success in the ASCON Public Service Examination is not a guarantee for
automatic employment for candidates seeking government employment.
The closing date for the return of completed forms is Friday, December 28, 2012. All completed forms
must be accompanied with four passport-size photographs, two sets of academic credentials, certificate of local
government of origin, marriage certificate (where necessary). Entry forms submitted after the closing date will not
be processed.

Can someone that graduated with pass in HND for environmental health buy the form.

this is absurd how do they expect an unemployed graduate to raise 7k for job placement....na 1million dey want pay per month?

1)if you don't know what to do to get the job, then don't apply.
2)if you know what to do to get the job, then you probably don't need to apply.
