Today I have spent over 3000k within 30 minutes for etisalat 200mb internet bundle plan valued at #1000 each just to check for quick update online before buying my regular internet bundles. To my greatest surprise after 2 minutes the bundle has disappeared. Check my modem and found out it has received 260mb meaning it has been working since. What a scam joke. Bought another the same thing. Contacted a friend and he confirmed the same issue and warned me I flee from Etisalat 200mb plan. was thinking since the problem was emanating from my laptop or modem but etisalat is the root cause...I PUT OFF ALL RUNNING PROGRAMMES ON MY COMPUTER INCLUDING AUTOMATIC UPDATES TO BE WELL CONVINCE WHERE THE PROBLEM IS FROM look like they programmed this to drill subscribers of their hard earned money. What a fraudulent company

It can get exhausted in 15 minutes depending on what you have on your system. That 200 MB is meant for smart phones not laptops. I use the same plan for a month on my Gaga Smartphone and even tether my laptop to it for quick browsing.

Install a data monitoring app to track your data usage, so you know what's happening.

Information is very key in anything we are doing. Guy, your recharge of 3000k would have given you a better value for your money if you knew exactly what to do. The 1000k you paid for was for 200Mb and meant for smartphone, which could finish on time pending on usage. I use the 1000k for my smartphone and it last for more than a month and Etisalat simply rolls over my unused data. I also subscribe for Etisalat 2GB for my laptop, which is also subject to usage. The plans below will advise you much better.

It's strange that some of us don't understand things well before venturing into it, only to come out and call it a scam. The 200mb is for phone browsing and i doubt anyone can use all of it in a month. Etisalat is doing well to roll your unused data to the following month.

Well from your analysis, it is my fault right? Ok lessons learn t. I will go for the PC plan shortly because their 3g network is blazing hot in my area. ok thanks guys

I nearly screamed when I read that you spent over 3000k on etisalat 200mb bundle plan within 30mins. I think u meant 3k, because k stands for thousand, 3000k is a lot of money. I do use etisalat 260mb and it lasts for 7days though d duration depends on how much data u download.

Take for instance I subscribe to 200mb for month ago and I decided not to do that again on my htc but few hours ago that I change my phone to blacberry and now decided to load #1500 on my phone to subscribe for a month, before I check my balance #1000 has been taken for the said 200mb which I don't want. Should they take my money by force? Is auto renewal by force. What of somebody that want to use the money to make call and finds out such deduction on his/her line. Guys pls etisalat 200mb is nt a scam. Pls all u need to do is to send *229*0#. Or send "stop" in an sms to 229 to opt out of d bundle so dat it will not be auto renewed. This must be done immidietly after exausting ur mb

i've used there 200MB plan for 1 week straight doing browsing and small downloads. worked fine for me. still the fastest network out there.

happened like four days ago>>> my etisalat bis plan started browsing real slow after using up like half of the gigabyte given to me>>>my question is, have i been moved to a slower network? any explanation for these....its really annoying...I'm on etisalat #1000 bis monthly plan
