Here's a news flash!

Nobody here gives a single sh!t what you think grin
Who really cares about your stomach ache over people's properties?
Buildings are dynamic. If Owerri's economic drive changes direction, hotels can be converted to office blocks, hospitals, schools, even residencies.

Put in your own stake and invest in properties too. I repeat: no one here gives a hoot what you think.

Rytegate must have very poor architects or perhaps none at all. Their structures look like something being built in 1950s.

The design of their structures is atrocious! I'm shocked they are getting all these contracts.

Your mentor, gov Okorocha sees himself as in a quid pro quo plan with Owerri. The plan is Owerri shall look away from the private university, 5-Star hotels, poly activities stadium, etc, etc which Rochas Okorocha has been building in his village in Ideato south while sitting as governor of Imo state; in exchange, Okorocha government lavishes the development funds of Imo state on Owerri only, with an occasional diversionary scratches of building some short roads or small markets outside Owerri

I am from Imo state.
You are not from Imo state. You publicise gov Okorocha and his Owerri projects, as both of you re-branded Owerri to become Imo state.

Frequently you invite your comrade to come and spam this thread with photos of decadent parts of Imo state

I have always known that Abagworo and Chino are friends. Ikwerre and Igala joining hands to put a knife among Igbos.

Abagworo is not Igbo. He was imported from Plateau State to Imo state to do Publicity job for Rochas Okorocha's IMSG.

Whenever Abagworo is bored on his job, he would mention the call signs: "Anambra state" or "Gov. Obiano" to invite his comrade to come and spam this thread with non-decrepit photos..

As Okorocha reduced Imo state to Owerri and his village, Abagworo the stranger who hardly understands that Imo state extends beyond Owerri publicizes Okorocha's Owerri projects, they dub them Imo state projects.

While Abagworo does his job, some people from Owerri who profit economically from Okorocha's focus on Owerri, at the expense of rest of Imo state, clap for Abagworo; one even had the gut to ask rest of Imo state to adopt Owerri as our collective heritage. But the profiteers resent any governor that tried to establish IMSG development infrastructures outside Owerri zone.

Truth is: on more than equal measures, Okorocha's obsession with, and excessive focus on development of Owerri, arrest the development of rest of Imo state outside Owerri.

Bro there is nothing bitter about the hospitality boom in owerri. It's an industry and we are gradually going ahead, with the coming of Marriott, owners of protea hotel and the recent increase in shopping malls. Take a cue from Suncity in South Africa or Las vegas in Nevada US.

Mind you in the state of Navada, Las Vegas is their major income spilling machine, if you know what I mean.

You are very unintelligent with an abysmally low IQ. You want to impersonate as Imo state indigen yet you are not even smart or intelligent enough to pull it off. You really must be very jobless and frustrated to be wasting your time and energy that should have gone into helping yourself to become something of worth, rather you are here making a fo.ol of yourself. I pity whoever sired you and those around you because you are completely frustrated and suicidal. With all the time you spend here, then one only imagine what is left to go into helping yourself earn a meaningful living. People are making mega money online and even on nairaland yet are not intelligent enough to leverage on it. What difference has all your noise on this thread made? Ask yourself this question. Life is really short especially in Nigeria, yet it's mind boggling how you spend such limited time on a faceless forum talking trash every minute of the day. You may think you are still sane, but I'm 100% sure that you are not okay. No normal human being will behave the way you do. I pray that God will deliver you from such insanity in Jesus name, AMEN!!!

Lies from the pit of hell, we all know who you are, so stop pretending. Who is paying you 200-400k per month for saying trash against Imo state? PDP?? Even Buhari's paid online agents domiciled in Kubwa earn a meager 30k per month or you think that these politicians don't know the level of unemployment in Nigeria and how graduates would fall over themselves just to be paid 30k? And you think they would lavish 400k on one person when same amount can pay as many as 15 people who would even do a better job than you?
Let me give you a hint, I work on Fiverr as a freelancer and I sometimes earn up to $1000 per month and minimum of $700. Check my signature and you will also see another source of income although not steady now both are through online and ideas I got here in nairaland (there are others I won't mention here). Why don't you be like me grin tongue There is a difference between constructive criticism and destructive blackmail. It's even a shame you claim to be from Imo state and yet also claim that you are being paid 200-400k to condemn your state. Even Judas will be envying you cry cry

You can disagree with me all you want but we are sponsored by Imo patriots. Imo state is our collective heritage and we must continue to say the truth though it is bitter. They are big. They are dissatisfied with the situation and mess in our state. Your disagreement with me doee not stop my alert of 200-400k every month. tongue

I stumbled upon this thread while googling for something else, but it took me five minutes of scrolling to realize why I stopped coming to NL in the first place. People really have nothing better to do than to boast about their states that cant even compete with the most basic city in South Africa or Angola. LMAO. We need to have small shame, please.

On another note, one should not expect EVERY STATE in Nigeria to be like Lagos. Even in the United States, such is not the case.

There are states that serve the sole purpose of extracting natural resources (Wyoming, West Virginia)
There are states that mainly serve the purpose of leisure/tourism (Hawaii, Florida, Nevada)
There are states that serve as financial centers (New York)
There are states that serve the purpose of manufacturing (New Jersey, Michigan, Ohio)
There are also states that serve the purpose of all of the above (California)

Do people not understand that at one point, there was only the eastern region? And later they created Anambra and Imo State from the Eastern region? Anambra state had Enugu as it's adminstrative capital and Onitsha as its financial capital; Awka, Nnewi, Abakaliki, etc were just small towns then. Imo state also had Owerri as its adminstrative Capital and Aba as its financial capital; Orlu, Okigwe, Umuahia, etc were also just small towns then. So the infrastructure that makes Aba and Onitsha what it is has existed long before there were 5 newly created eastern states. That's why I'm not understanding the arguments here. While governors need to make more of an effort to invest in their state, remember some states lost their entire economy when divided, therefore no longer have that luxury of building on top of what was already there.

If a person in Nebraska studied computer engineering or IT, the likelihood that they'll move to California to find a job in the tech industry is very high. That is normal here. People move where they're are jobs. Not everywhere in America is going to have silicon valley at it's doorstep. Why don't Nigerians grasp this concept or are they blinded by pride and tribalism?? As far as it is the east, what is the big deal?

And for the person who keeps mentioning Port Harcourt, please don't even go there. Port Harcourt is only heavily populated because people ran down in droves thinking they'll get a share of the oil money. Unfortunately, that was not the reality for 99% of the people who found themselves there. This is why Port Harcourt is so poorly planned and unorganized littered with shanty bungalows everywhere you turn. The city has since decayed into a disorganized slum, which is why crime is ripe there, making it the most dangerous city in Nigeria. This is not an attack, this is an honest observation. Please use discernment when commenting, thanks. wink

Since abagworo who receives 20k monthly stipend to defend Rochas cannot attend to this thread, lemme bring it here for all our people to discuss. Who did this to us in Imo state? Has Rochas created any job in Imo state since 2011? Just mention one paying sustainable job created by Rochas in Imo state?

https://www.nairaland.com/4462060/okorocha-imposes-n3000-development-levy

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has ordered all “leviable adults” in the state to pay N3,000 each as “development levy.”

According to a statement by Louis Duru, the state Commissioner for Community Government, Culture and Traditional Affairs, the money is to be used for “autonomous community adult development.”

Duru said the state had registered at least 2,000 leviable adults in each of the 637 autonomous communities.
He added that recognised communities will serve as the collectors and they are to pay not less than N6 million each.

Okorocha warned that the traditional rulers of defaulting communities will have their allowances or salaries suspended.

“To facilitate the payment, the state government through the ministry of CGC, since September 2016, has provided community adult registers for all autonomous communities in the state where the communities will enlist the names of at least 2000 leviable adults.”

“Consequently, Owelle Okorocha has directed that all recognised autonomous communities in Imo State should pay the minimum adult development levy of without further delay.

“Any recognised autonomous community that fails to pay the development levy will be merged with sister autonomous community that had paid and the salaries/allowances of the traditional ruler ill be suspended.

“Government has concluded arrangements to embark on sensitisation meetings with traditional rulers at the local government areas to further emphasize His Excellency’s directives and monitor compliance.”
