If the statement accredited to the sultan or his representative about them not informed regarding female pilgrims requiring a mahram to travel with them is tru, then I'm totally dissapointed in our islamic leaders in this country.

Since the institution of hajj, it has always been a rule that a female going on hajj should have a relative, either her husband or another relative travel with her.

The sultan should focus more on ensuring that proper due process is followed as far as hajj matters are related instead of making sweeping statements.

Why would any grown woman subject herself to be treated like a child just to visit some desert country? These are grown women, they are in control of their senses, why should they allow themselves to be treated like children? Is someone afraid they might get lost in Saudi Arabia or they don't have the mental capacity to travel on their own?
