It high time all opponent of Misogyny and Hedonism in contemporary hip-hop oppose the spate of decay in the music industry. It about time we adopt music as a “danceable education” reaching towards the genre’s socially progressive roots.
The popularity of music videos has reinforced the overt sexuality found in hip-hop music. Women in these videos are often scantily clothed and use their bodies to get material things. Young women are surrounded by these negative images, and many have adapted their lifestyles to fit them. Soundcity, Channel O, MTV and BET broadcasts approximately 15 hours of music video each day.

Much of the music and many videos specifically transmit, promote, and perpetuate negative images of black women. All women, but mostly black women in particular are seen in popular hip-hop culture as sex objects. Almost every hip-hop video that is regularly run today shows many dancing women (usually surrounding one or two men) wearing not much more than bikinis, with the cameras focusing on their body parts. These images are shown to go along with a lot of the explicit lyrics that commonly contain name calling (bu.m bum, wais.t, boot.y, Bac.a, Ashawo, ikeb.e, bitc.h etc)to suggest that women are not worth anything more than money.

Lupe is one meaningful rapper. this song hits home for me. hes got the whole package, the lyrics, the image, the super star persona.

Education is the first step in changing gender relations in the hip-hop community. People first need to be made aware that women's rights are being violated verbally in the sexist lyrics. A change in the hip-hop culture's collective consciousness can spread to the larger population, or vice versa. We need knowledge to act and speak out against the exploitation of women, not only in hip-hop culture, but in all cultures everywhere.
Hindering the effects of negative hip-hop music on todays children requires drastic measures. People should take a firm stand against the production of this music by refusing to purchase it. A decrease in record sales may trigger an increase in responsibility on the part of the artists. Parents may also have to closely monitor the purchases their children make with their allowances.

In today's black music and videos there's a contagion! the theme of hiphop has become so water down and disgusting. and it seems like the only thing they sing about is is bu.m bum, wais.t, boot.y, moet, Ashawo, booz.e, bitc.h etc.
It's so cool nowadays to be perceived as a "nigga" or a "bitch". A term once an exclusive reserse for female dog

B!tch = bad, Woman = good, Lady = better! Dont let anybody call you or treat you less than you are, including youself. Self respect is where its at people.
These days many black entertainers lacks self respect and this reflects in the theme of even Nigeria music videos where even the local artist reflect the triple ill of Ignorance, Misguidance and Stupidity...

and Ignorance means Lack of knowledge or information
and misguided means Having or showing faulty judgment or reasoning
and stupid means Lacking intelligence or common sense.
you want me to go on? ...

Deepest rap & rapper I have heard in a long time! All these other rapers with loose morals selling their lack of morality to their people, helping the downfall of their race - they say its entertainment, when what their really doing is putting on a minstrel show feeding into white rascist stereotypes for money, selling out their race in the process and confusing generations of children on what is desirable in a partner, what it takes to be a real lady and a real man. Said it before deep!

misogynist rap and its portrayal of women is partly responsible to the ill affecting women folk...
... ranging from over-sexualized perception of women to the act of rape.
