Best Products For Your Skin Type. by katdyka(f): 12:50pm On Sep 27, 2012
Hi, iam Catherine,a Skincare specialist based in Lagos.email:katdyka@yahoo.com.08169509115.
Many people complain of dull complexion, acne, spots, uneven skintone and other skin problems.
I think the main problem is that most of us don't know our skin types, which makes it difficult to have a customised beauty regimen.
Let's look at the FF skin types:
OILY SKIN: produces so much oil, shiny face, prone to acne(pimples), dark and brown spots, inflammations(break outs)etc. TIPS: Avoid using exfoliating soaps on your face! It causes the inflammations to become darker, its too harsh to the face too. use face moisturisers with SPF, use Products with SALYCILIC ACIDs e.g Noxzema and Neutrogena Black Head Eliminating Daily Scrub,Visibly Even Blackhead Eliminating Toner,Visibly Even Daily Moisturiser SPF 30. Etc avoid using creams like tubes to lighten dark spots cos they contain oil, rather use GEL or Serums.Exfoliate once a week.
NORMAL/COMBINATION SKIN: shiny T-zone (forehead, nose and chin), breaks out once in a while, has dry skin fom the neck to the toes.TIPs: look out for products with lotion, creams and body moisturisers. Avoid heavy moisturisers or body lotion on the face.avoid salycilic/alcohol toners on the face. Boots Rose Water with Glycerine is best too. Use SPF face moisturisers(sunblocks). To lighten skin, use lightening creams, u may not breakout with them.Exfoliate 2wice a week only.
DRY / AGED SKIN: dry, dull and ashy skin. TIPS: always Use Cream Cleansers cos of its heavy oil content! Use more of Jergens, Olay, E-45 and Eucerine products etc.after bathing, avoid drying out skin totally, lather cream on wet skin to allow it penetrate and make the skin look supple and soft. Add Sheabutter(melted) and Rose water to ur body cream.(Men Inclusive). Exfoliate twice a week.
SENSTIVE SKIN: always prone to rashes, redness of the skin(fake jewellery) and skin reactions.use unscented products made for sensitive skin only. Avoid Citrus beauty treatments (lemon and lime). Avoid harsh lightening products.
So far so good Nairalanders, hope we can identify our skin types here and try to take care of them.
I mix CREAMS for uneven complexions, flawless skin, and treat skin problems too. Its mixed according to one to your skin type and complexion( dark or fair). Just use my contacts above. Thank you. Catherine.

When you scrub, you are removing dead skin cells from your body, to reveal a cleaner and new skin cell. This process is called exfoliation. It helps the skin products to penetrate and work faster too.it can also be called skin polish.
