always wasting money on auditions.. why not look out for best brains that can transform the country rather than recycling some junk procedures.. of which participants a.k.a idols would end up being idle like the regular, overpopulated vocalists ..who have nothing to offer aside barbaric swags..

When other nations are busy discovering/developing the best brains in IT, AGRIC, MATHS , SCIENCE, ENGINEERING! We are busy spending time on frivolities. What a misplace of priorities!

Do you know how many Nigerian music artistes have transformed the lives of ordinary people? Yes those ordinary people who work as Studio technicians, lights rentals, Camera men,Make-up artistes, Music video dancers,Choreographers, ticketing agents at concerts etc. This is how Nigeria can get transformed. You silly people should stop expecting government to knock on poor peoples homes and start dashing them money. Kudos to Idols and Etisalat.[/size]

Rather appreciate or applaud them for giving jobless you a platform to showcase their talents for free, you are by castigating them. So people or government parastatals making bogus promises of job offers and asking unemployed Nigerian to buy forms by paying into designated bank accounts is better right?
Audition no be by force o...

Pls start mentioning names and what they've done.. Between developing the country in various sectors and sponsoring Nigerian idol, which will help the ordinary poor man? Oga,nobody is saying nigerian juju/idol should not be done, but what we are saying is that what we really need as a country is to tap the brains God has given us to succeed.. Lets face our problems, and Nigerian idol can come later.. These musicains still derive their income from the poor man/average man.. If we no buy their cd,dem go sell

There are several sectors of d economy.. Incase u don't know: education, telecomms, show-biz/ entertainment, banking etc.
Show-biz aint for everybody. This a plat-form for assisting those who are talented musically(I must state here that 9geria have much of these) so aw can sponsoring a show such as these amount to waste
Ask chidinma, iyanya, omowunmi, timi-dakolo etc.

You guys seem to forget that these companies (MTN, Etisalat, etc) have also spent billions, and are still spending in other sectors: education, youth empowerment, health and environment. a simple google search will give you plenty of info on this. This same money you think they are wasting on the entertainment sector is helping some people meet their needs. They can't do everything.

MTN, Etisalat, SHELL, Chevron, etc, the list goes on; they all sponsor/provide scholarships on a consistent basis to Engineering students and students in other courses (computer science, business administration, etc). And not only that, they also provide facilities and equipment for them too.

engineerin projects not students! Wat'll happen if creative competitions are introduced wit similar rewards as wit project fame and nigeria juju? Creative minds are wasting. UBA started somethin called lions den those days for enterprenuers. wat happened to it? We serious de pursue fun, leave work! I luv music but i'd also luv to see our musicians sing about serious techdevelopments in naija..... Besides this days' naija music na wack..... Good music ends wit 2face, stylplus, psquare, ruggedman, and their generation; ofcourse barring some choc boys, darey!
