Very possible. International passport can be acquired in a week time, you can still write Toefl or IELTS if you apply now. Go to your uni and send your transcript to the UAF.

Thanks bro, happy to have u back...I can't registr on UAF without a passport nmbr..which is bettr n easier to pass, TOEFL or IELTS?? Whr do u reside in Finland...tnx!

I did IELTS not Toefl, I really cant tell which is easier to pass, but I knew someone that passed IELTS after failing TOEFL. Secondly, IELTS is British. Go and do your passport, why the delay? unless you want to miss this application period.

I reside in Helsinki

Lagos IELTS is filled up until January 10th . I am worried that I might not meet the admission deadline for the Finnish Uni's If I write the IELTS test in January (Considering the fact that admissions in Finnish Uni's begin on the 7th and ends on the 27th of January ), Please I would like to know if there is any other state where IELTS registrations for December is still available .

Simply write on dat 10th Jan. Send every other docs while d admission is still on. British Council will send your test electronically as long as you as them to do so on your behalf. Its on the form. Besides if you write 10th, it will be out by 23rd or 24th thus enabling u to meet up with d deadline

but that is 50 50 risk oo, will they accept IELTS electronically? I think its only toafl they will only accept like that, IELTS is only by post whether its from BC. Well I think he will first ask his sch by then if the will accept it like that

Hi,
After you get into Finland to study, how easy is it to find a job? What sort of jobs can you get in Helsinki and how much pay are we talking about here?
I have asked some finnish friends and they said you have to learn the language first.
How do you guys survive?
Thank you.

I am encountering the same issue at the moment. I have decided to write Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic. Yo have to confirm that it is accepted at your school of choice though.

The information i gathered from my research and discussions with friends in Finland, it is extremely difficult to get a white collar job after school in Finland without knowledge of the finnish language. Although guys in IT do have a higher probability of getting jobs.

Jobs are difficult to come by even if one understands the language but d top notch and quality education in Finland is a big incentive.

For part time jobs.....omo na janitor things o, postman and newspapers delivery are quite common.

With all i have mentioned, i am still gonna apply for a MSc. program but one has to know what's up before taking the step.

Hello house , this Finland stuff seems to be tougher than I thought. The Finnish embassy said they do not give visas for students who are interested in writing the entrance exams in Finland , however they said sometimes they normally hold the entrance exams in the Finnish embassy here in Nigeria (although with the approval of the educational institution), So I contacted some of the schools regarding the entrance examinations and I told them what the Finnish embassy here suggested , however they turned down this option and said the exams would only be written in Finland or in one of the Finnips locations , I checked the Finnips website and Kenya seems to be the reasonable Finnips location to write the entrance examinations. So I would like to know if anyone has written or plans to write an entrance exam in Kenya . Do the Kenyan embassy give tourist visas to Nigerians ? what are the requirements (fees etc) ? in regards to hotel bookings , what is the average cost of a Kenyan hotel and if you were to travel to Kenya to write an entrance examination like how many days hotel booking would you probably make.
I would like to plan ahead of time so that I can at least have an estimate of the entire cost of travelling, among other things. Thanks in advance
