naa. . . 17" wuxga (widescreen ultrahigh resolution - 1920 x 1200) laptop monitor

downside - i need to search for high res widesreen wallpapers

upside - all that space!!!

heres mine. for the 3d cube effect i use yod'm. but i cant get the snipping tool up in that dimension . also the background is actually a video not static wallpaper courtesy of windows dreamscene.

i just finished downloading ultimate edition (with flashget tho took me almost 2-3 wks ) n burning it to a cd the stuff is cool sha but i still cant create 3D themes n icon

man u might not know it but if u are using an intel card then compiz ( the 3d stuff) is already activated bcus the driver for intel cards esp intel GMA 954 is embebded in the ubuntu os ,  but if u use other cards like nvidia or ati then u gave to download the driver , there is a utility called restricted driver under system/administration which would show u all your restriced drivers ,  u just check them and it would install the drivers and configure them for u ,  any case sha just let me know your graphic card cus compiz will not work unless u have a graphic card

Bad News! My system got hit by one RonaMona, something virus so i had to reload.

Good news, lost some of my important files, but I still got my softwares backed up on DVD, and a chance to get a new desktop look.

i justed moded my vista tot i should share

here's my winXP sp2
used Winstep for desktop look incl. the start menu, clock and shelf
used Quick Notes Plus for the desktop notes

guess what i discovered a cool nesw app shock aero 3D . you can use it to execute the windows vista flip. and it works like a charm.

a diff version of the same tool win flip used  to play havoc with my 8 start, so i stopped using it.

this one comes in plenty of cool options - it may chop ram, tho i'm not too sure about that. essentially, its just eye candy. the only real issue i have with it is it doesn't come with a quick way to call it up

A while back i completely mod my linux to look like vista , it caused a lot of people to flame me , any way i decided. to mod my ubuntu to look exactly like a mac osx , u wont believe it , but the gnome desktop is damn tooooo flexible and is capable of anything , that is why i prefer it to KDE even though KDE is by all means a super duper desktop environnmets
