Nairobi has so many tourists (about 18% of people you see there are tourists) It has one of the best Hotels available plus Kenyan Tea (number one in Africa). Nairobi is the home of tourism (For your information, Nairobi earns 98% of its annual revenue from Tea and Tourism) in Africa. It has the second largest collection of Lions (Tanzania is number one). Most of the tourist attractive centres are outside Nairobi, but tourists choose Nairobi as their base. The airport is dust compared with Abuja's but their currency (unbelievably) is twice that of the Naira (ironically, just replace the obi in nairobi with an A and you get Naira!)

The roads are clean and there are shopping malls everywhere. Flowers and sign posts are classical, much like the UK setting. The weather is so cool, sometimes the temperature falls below 4 degrees Celcius (snow is imminent here). Nairobi cabs are more like Jags, Rolls and Lincolns (antiques).

If you ever visit Nairobi, and you don't go to the Carnivore (you have only gone on a picnic, you didn't stay!), here you eat any kind of animal from Zebra, to Gazelle, to Rhino, Crocodile, just name it (although some animals are not allowed to be poached).

Abuja may have a lot of flashy cars generated from "OIL" and "Politics" Money, Nairobi boasts of a serene environment enriched with wealth generated from Tea, Tourism and Athletics (10,000 meters(ers))

No doubt. Pronto!

Don't even try to compare Joburg with Nairobi, South Africa at large is competing with world class countries like the US, and Nairobi a capital competing with just Abuja and Joburg, Man Youv'e got a lot to learn about my country.  And if i start i won't even finish.

Jo'Burg is not your country, not even the capital, but a city. I've seen pictures of Jo'Burg. My mum, dad and sis have been there and they have lovely stories to tell as well, but when it comes to tourism, You've gotta be kidding me. When it comes to tea, what are we talking about. Your weather may be colder, currency better, but the atmosphere is surely different from Nairobi's. You need to see for yourself.

You know every nice thing has its ugly part. When you talk of beauty, you can praise Jo'burg but when you talk about serenity, I can't see you beating your chest. Talk about robbers, rape, racism, maybe not Nairobi, Not Abuja.

A yoruba proverb says, if a boy hasn't been to another boy's father's farm he will think his father's is the biggest.

You have neither been to Abuja nor Nairobi and I am not talking about Structures and buildings here. Kindly read the post over again. Thank you.

Nairobi is the best city coz of its strategic location in Africa, furthermore, its air connection to almost every city in Africa makes it more attractive to investors hence its economic boom. The Kenyans provide the skilled human labour by international standards.

Nairobi weather is very condusive to everybody in the world, 2day Nairobi is hot the following day its so cold. Kenya's unique scenery keeps tourists flocking in and Nairobi has the best facilities to handle all kinds of tourists from high spending to low spenders. From the game parks, casinos, best restaurants to the coastal sunny, sandy beaches.

Johannesburg is where it is coz of its gold, unfortunately, its controled by the minority whites. Jo'burg can have good infrastructure but it cant beat Nairobi's beauty. From the well maintained lawns in the park to clean, well lit street pavements, public toilets and dustbins in every corner of the street. Well organised bus transport systems courtesy of Citi Hoppa, Kenya Bus Services and Double M Connection buses linking the city to its suburbs.

But South Africa is world famous for xenophobia ,vast slums ,rape epidemic and worrying levels of murders.

Is that what you call competing with the USA?

This is so so unture! Jomo Kenyatta intl Airport is far far better than Nnamdi Azikwe Intl airport. I traveled from Abuja to Kenya in June and I can tell that the difference is clear. JKIA is more organized, far cleaner and well maintained.
