3G+ And 3.5 G Network: What's The Difference? by oshare: 1:58pm On Jan 29, 2008
Of late, GSM operators in Nigeria has bombarded subscribers with confusing advert in the media of the launch if their new 3G network that can allow video call, video conferencing, fast data download, etc. Why one operator say it can offer 3 G+, the other is saying it has 3.5 G network. What is the difference?

(3+)-(3.5)=
3-3.5=-0.5
kai the answer negative i pray it won't bring negativity to their subscribers
let me see
(3+)+(3.5)=
3+3.5=6.5
positive answer whao any scientific calc should help for conversion(€6.5)($3.5) or sorry ($3+)

There's no difference. All are simply 3G with the software upgrade to allow HSDPA.
So it's generally 3G plus HSDPA. The addition of HSDPA is what MTN calls '.5G' and what glo calls '+'

Not answering YOU. i'm answering the poster here. loads of people here have asked the question and i haven't seen anyone answer it.

perhaps if more questions were answered without prima donna posturing and the urge to bask in the adulation of the less informed became less of a priority Nigeria would become a better place indeed.
