Does Your Phonebook Look Formal Or Informal? by bamto(m): 9:05pm On Nov 09, 2012
What's your phonebook like? How do you store names of contacts on your phone? Do you add the titles Mr, Dr, Chief, Prof etc especially when its an older person or important personality?

The bulk of my contacts are saved with nicknames (the coded names I give people or that they already have). You'll see stuff like Aparo, Whistle, Lorenzo, Martin Luther, Friend and Foe, Margaret Thatcher etc.

Someone just drew my attention to how risky that is. If you lose your phone or are involved in an accident, what will happen if someone wants to quickly reach a relative? He'll be searching in vain for 'dad' or 'mum.' Enough said. So let's have a feel of what your phonebook looks like.

What suddenly makes them 'unserious?' The fact that they don't keep in touch?
So your phonebook has all the Chief and Dr things?

I won't call mine formal or informal as it is a combination of both. In case of an accident anyway, you can't use my phone to call any one. It is on automatic lock

It looks formal, even my friend complain that I behave like a matured man as I 'm still a teenager 'cos I store my friends name with their last name and first name, and I have a lot of Mr and Mrs on my list as well.

Saying mine is informal will be an understatement, it is something else.
You can't know who is who in my contacts except maybe for my two sisters.
I particularly did not save my dad's number incase I get arrested or into trouble.undecided
Re: Does Your Phonebook Look Formal Or Informal? by Ramcie(f): 9:40am On Nov 10, 2012
Mine is a combination of both . Also some names are in capital letters while others are in small letters. Just went through my contacts now and realized how disorganized and annoying it looks grin I don't even have up to a 100 contacts undecided

Re: Does Your Phonebook Look Formal Or Informal? by Clemzy16(m): 9:50am On Nov 10, 2012
I hardly have any of my relatives number in phone except one of my uncle and aunt. I see no reason why i should have people's contact when i don't call or communicate with them. Aside-that, i saved my parents numbers with mum and dad; i think that's enough incase of the whole emergency thing. Also, i saved peoples numbers i meant of social media as vicky-2go, damilola-fb etc.. And Nicknames for my paddy paddies.
