SELFWORTH: You can tell by most of the responses here that none of you have lived with an addict (I.e someone who is dependent on something). It can destroy a whole family talk less of a marriage.

Taking it for leisure or anything else is like playing with fire. How many doctors will prescribe weed for treatment of an ailment . If you are stupid enough to agree to that you should be prescribed drugs please first ask the doctor whether he himself will use it if the role was reversed.

Nothing everything we desire is good for us. My advice is to seek treatment with your husband as a family. There are rough roads in every marriage . This is your cross bear it with him but don't let it drag you down. Unless an addict wants to quit, there is little you can do to help them. They may end up destroying themselves but don't let them destroy u or your family unit.

candieangel12: I see no problem in indulging in recreational weed, the problem here lies in the fact that he concealed it during their marriage. But maybe he concealed it because he knew if she found out, she would make a big deal out of it, the way she is doing now.

My advice: Stay married, work on your marriage's trust/communication issues, and join him and indulge in a blunt occasionally too

jenny78: A friend came crying yesterday,she just discovered that the man she has been married to for five years smokes weed.When she confronted him, he said he only smokes it when he hangs out with his friends and said its no big deal since he does it once in a while.

My friend is very concerned because her hubby blows hot and cold most times and she is worried that this nasty habit of his may be the cause.
She has advised him to seek medical help but he said she is making mountain out of molehill.

If her husband somkes weed, its prolly because he needs to let off steam from the stress she gives him.. Weed does nothing but make a smoker happy, hungry and sleepy.. Some women have irresponsible men, some have chronic womanizers, some have wife-beaters.. She has a good man who smokes weed and she wants to leave...

Your husband is better off smoking weed than you think. Tell him to smoke @ home instead with friends and you will enjoy your husband to the fullest. Weed cannot make him a criminal, a wife beater or rogue. He can only reason better with weeds. 95% of criminals doesn't smoke weed.
