Universally, when two people are given birth to with a time interval, the one that comes first would be regarded as the elder of the two. However in Yoruba land, reverse is the case when it comes to a set of twins. The last to come is believed to be the elder. The general reason is that the last, being the elder, sent the younger to see if the way is through and signify by crying. But could this be true? |
