C'mon. Don't be silly.

So you actually think that a car going at a speed of over 400mph on a relatively busy highway will "mash" brake and "fucki.ng stop" when the unforseeable happens without spinning or causing a pile up of cars/fatalities? undecided

He's a kid who just got his first car so pardon his "green" attitude.

pleep: 155 mph on a city road is irresponsible no matter how you slice it, I am not defending things like that. I'm talking about the kind of driving you see in this video.

Siena, I saw that video just before I made my second post on this thread.

I had to really control myself not to throw insults at the poster.

How can someone consistently defend such "driving" on a busy highway? Talk about having no regard for the live and safety of other road users.

Look at how the driver swerved next to that lorry. It seems the lorry driver didn't even notice the benz was coming behind him. What if the tanker had swerved to the right at the same time? Smh!

First off I didn't "just" get my car... i've been driving for several years. And have driven cars and motercycles before i got my license.

You call me green but the chick who thinks cars can get up to 400mph is the expert right?

Dude, the "400 mph" reference Funky made is not to be taking literally. I can say "that driver was going like a bat out of hell," or "the car surged forward like a rocket." I'm sure anyone reading will be able to deduce what's being said - the cars are going way too fast!

what the hell is wrong with you? angry

200mph , 190mph, 1,200mph angry kini difference tongue

My point is they should be considerate to other road users and practice their stunts on dedicated racing tracks. Someone suggested, abuja airport. Lol. Which is not a bad idea though.

And it will be fun to watch smiley

Thats what i thought at first, but she repeated that 400mph figure several times, which leads me to think she actually believed it. Or simply doesn't understand vehicle speed measurements

When we are talking about things like stopping distance and danger the exact speed is very important. Someone who doesn't recognize a difference between 200mph, 190mph and 1200mph has no place in such a discussion.

Actually, car and bike racing have been banned within the F.C.T since early March 2012 so you guys are actually breaking the law.

Siena: Pleep, I guessed correctly this is your first car, and I can understand you wanting to put it through it's paces. I've been there, done that.

And as for me not understanding the perspective of a fast driver, you're wrong. I've been driving for well over 25 years. I'm also a confirmed petrolhead, and have built several fast cars (some of which have been magazine featured). I have been to the Nurburgring three times. I'm currently building a DTM race car for next year's season. I run a small specialist garage, and I'm putting together a Motorsport team, hopefully it'll be successful. So there's not much I don't know about the dynamics of a competitive automobile, be it built for the road, track or a compromise between both.

I've also owned over 56 automobiles till date, 43 of them Audi, a couple of BMW, a couple of Toyota, a couple of Volkswagen and the rest mixed.

I don't know how old you are, but you're probably young enough to be my son. So I'm advising you the way I would advise my own children. If you continue down the path you're on now, you could end up doing yourself an injury, or worse.

Good luck.

Could we get a comprehensive list of your machines and reasons why you did away with each one of them.
Just started collecting them myself.
cheers.

Many of you guys are just "Kill-joys".
lol @ the 400mph chick. - she said it more than twice Sienna...i was beginning to wonder if the c63 AMG had a Global express bombardier engine fitted..
we dont have speed limits on our roads, so its understandable that when there is no law, there is no offence. but these guys should be more careful.

The issue here is responsibility, now I can talk from both perspectives as I mentioned earlier I have been know to break a few speed limits myself cool (so I'm a hypocrite, sue me) but time and place are important.

DarkKnight let look at above video objectively, you've turned round on Nnamdi Azikiwe just after Shehu Shagari junction, you've then gone hell for leather towards Banex,

The reason they are currently building a pedestrian bridge there is due to the frequent deaths of people crossing the road there, 29secs in, 38secs in, 44secs in, there are people crossing the road, yet you guys are weaving through traffic at probably 140-150kph that my friend is irresponsible driving, all it takes is a slight mistake by you or one of the people who panics as you overtake.

Now turn right at Banex and head towards life camp, minimal traffic once you pass Regent school on your left, by all means say f**k the law and open it up, the risk to other road users is much reduced, that's all I'm saying.

You are truly living up to your moniker; a first class cow who is also an escaped mental patient. There is a law banning car and bike racing but in your stupidity, you say "Bleep the law". While we are at it, why not f**k every other law ever made and let us all act like animals, after all "is this not Nigeria"? SMH.

These cars have been tuned to the max from factory. Like siena said earlier i would advice the racers to build their own sport cars from the scratch then they would naturally work towards getting a dedicated race track so that people like us from the racing and motorsport community can appreciate their talents. As far as this goes they are just drivers in fast cars. You truly become a racer in the tracks and not on the streets.

Whats shes saying is that its a law that they wont enforce. Just more hot air from silly Nigerian politicians. Why doesn't the government worry about developing new roads and forget about 'street racing'

Wow. So because laws aren't enforced, they should all be flouted? Do people need to be ruled by a dictatorship before compliance? And as for new roads - will these be for the general public, or as an overspill for more street racing?

@Sienna,
these noisemakers said they were gonna arrest and prosecute racers who violate the ban but we all know they won't. I mean, these racers ain't the poor masses they can go about arresting anyway they deem fit they are kids of the elites, go through those links pasted here and you'll get where am coming from.
if only they can keep to their word of this bargain then we'll know we are heading somewhere.
