SEX TO REPENTANCE

WE JUST HAD SEX:
she was in my arms, we were cuddled together naked and just finished making love to catch up for the lost time.

It was pleasurable as usual and we enjoyed it. We haven't seen each other for few weeks and we were in love.

She was a leading member of our campus fellowship : Association of Christian Fellowship (ACF). A vibriant sister; very beautiful but she was my lover and partner in sin and I just saw her off at about 10:18pm after rounds of sex.

It wasn't up to 30 minutes when my phone rang, I picked it up only for the caller to tell me the owner of this phone was killed by a truck that failed brake. I screamed and shout "Whaaaaat?"

When I finally got to her house the next morning, people were in sad mood...

But deep inside me, I felt a great guilt and I knew deep down what we did in secret. I'm the only one who knows the final sin she committed (sex out of wedlock)

*Do you realise that some people might sleep this night and never wake up tomorrow, what if I am amongst them?

*Do you know people might say good things about you at your funeral, because of what they see and not really know what you do in secrecy?

You can't hide them from the Almighty God!

A. *For ministers: If you have a poor self image, deal with it first before you embrace ministry because it may hunt you down later.*

B. *For ministers: God gave Moses 2 signs at the scene of the burning bush.*
*a. Rod turned to snake - this shows that power in the hand can sting (hence, beware of the way you use the power you are given)*
*b. Hand turned leprous - shows that the heart can be leprous (hence, guard your heart with all diligence...)*


C. *You cannot be noticed in the kingdom of darkness if you are not full..... For Jesus was full of the Spirit before he met the devil for temptation.*

D. *There is a level of spirituality you get to where you combat the devil and defeat him, that's the point you are recognized in the kingdom of darkness (Ref: Jesus I know, Paul know,who are you ?)*

E. *The problem facing carnal people and babes in the kingdom are different from the ones facing spiritual (mature) people.*

F. *Not every Bible verse you can claim, if you have not experienced it, for the writer of that verse simply shared the _testimonies_ of his experiences*

G. *In the kingdom, your worst enemy is your best friend as Judas is to Jesus, for without Judas there is no cross and no cross no salvation.*

H. *For ministers: You need difficult people in your congregation to keep you on your feet/knee , they are not problems but blessings*

I. *You need reliable people around you to put you to check because high level of Revelation,high spirituality,angelic encounters etc do not mean you are immune to deceit.*

J. *The more spiritual you are, the more you think you cannot be deceived and this is why you need reliable company to put you to check from time to time.*

K. *The first lesson God made me (Rev'd Paul Jinadu) to learn as a minister was a lesson of humiliation followed by the lesson of contradiction.*

L. *Love God so much that your love to human seems like an hatred.*

M. *The utmost reason why people are not able to know the person ( not power) of Holy spirit is because the reason for seeking him is not life-driven but purpose-driven.*

N. *If you are offended when people "rub against you", it is because you still have "rough edges" when your edges are smooth, you will not notice them.*

O. *It is not enough to give up what you have to God but give up who/what you are.*

P. *It is easier to die to wealth/fame than to die to ego (TP: tested and proven)*

Q. *God is using Boko Haram to bring us up to a level where we depend on divine strength/help for we have depended too much on the arm of flesh.*

R. *God is building an army that will not run away when the battle gets hot*

Grace and Peace to you. Today we're addressing how to overcome seduction, seeing it's one of the traps that has been set on the path of every true Christian, especially the young, single and devoted ones. I believe experience is a good teacher, so I am writing this basically from my experience. This isn't me preaching about myself or trying to look perfect in the eyes of the world. I believe there's need for every Christian to be as transparent as possible and have less of a 'secret life'. With that being said, I hope you're ready... now let's roll.

WHAT IS SEDUCTION?

Seduction from a Christian's point of view is a deliberate attempt to entice someone or enter into a relationship with them with the goal of corrupting and leading one astray from service to God and or relationship with God through sexual activities.

Mark the word "deliberate" because that's always the case.

WHO CAN GET SEDUCED?

Almost everyone (both Christians and non-Christians); cute people and...uhmm(no one is ugly anyway), presidents, Church leaders, business men and women, students, and the list goes on. Once or more in our lifetime, it's likely that someone will show up and attempt seducing us. Be it in the church, in the office, at school or just anywhere, seduction is bound to be attempted on us. And most times that happens unexpectedly.
When someone is bent on seducing us, they don't care about our looks, they just want to accomplish their mission. The enemy came to steal, to kill and destroy (John 10:10), not to look at whether you look cute or not. What he's after is making sure he does what he intends to do.

Some people carry this 'I am not handsome or beautiful enough' mindset, that's actually low self-esteem. They assume that with the way they are no one will get attracted to them, not to the extent of trying to seduce them. But that's not true, it only makes them vulnerable and susceptible to seduction attacks. Such are often caught off-guard, gullible. *God’s Leading*

Text- John 14 : 6

*Jesus said unto him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.*

*Introduction*

Who is that person that is qualified to lead or to show the way to follow?

It is that somebody that knows the way.

In our text, it is stated that 'I'm the way...'

No other person than the one who himself is the way deserves to be followed as HE leads.

He is not just starting leading people, it has been his usual duty in time memorial, He is still leading presently and will continue to guide those who surrender the affairs of their lives to Him both physically and spiritually.

When He leads someone, there is an absolute assurance that the desired destination will be reached.

This is seen in the past antecedents of His leading prowess.

He led the Isrealites through the wilderness and they reached the promised land.

Accepting His offer to lead one gives such peace of mind, because it is certain that even if there is any challenge in the journey, the Way Himself is up to the task.

He proved this in the lives of the Isrealites when faced with the challenge of crossing the red sea.
He led them through the red sea, He knows the path to take even in the intimidating ocean, indeed He is the way.

He did the same thing to Prophet Elisha when he came face to face with river Jordan, because the prophet allowed Him to lead.

Though the road may be rough but just solely hand over everything to Him, and He will surely see you through.
Joseph, the dreamer, despite all obstacles and challenges on his way to fulfill destiny, because he has given the affairs of his life to Him, he definitely overcame and became what God has planned for him to be.

It may seem like God is not interested or involved in the affairs of your life after giving Him the go ahead to lead you...... no dear, think not in such manner, just continue to do His bidding by pleasing Him with your actions and inactions, and see how He will turn things around for your favour.

Remember the storm that occurred to the boat in which Jesus Christ and His disciples were travelling in, though the Lord was resting, the disciples did the needful by waking up the Way Himself, the rest is history.

Brethren, having Him to lead you doesn't mean challenges will not come, but each time challenge comes, call upon Him and He will surely do the needful.

The beauty of His leading is that He is ready to lead the way in every aspect of our lives as we give Him the chance to do, be it maritally as HE did to Isaac and Ruth, He is ready to do more than that to us.

In which area of life do you need direction, He is readily available to show you the way, yours is to show him the green light and He will take charge of the situation.

He can lead with so many things, He led the Isrealites with the pillar of clouds by day and pillar of fire by night. Exodus 13 : 21
And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud to lead them the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, to go by day and night.

In Matthew 2 : 9
He chose a star to lead the three wise men and they reached their desired destination.

Brother and sister, what are the desires (good ones) of your heart that you have been contemplating and devising ways on how to achieve them.... worry no more the deed is done, just let the Way Himself lead you and you shall be fulfilled.

Sonny Okosun once sang and I quote

Jesus is the way, I must follow Him

*The needs for His Leading*
1. Assurance of reaching desired destination
2. Ensure fruitfulness of effort.
3. Making it to His Kingdom
4. Assurance of all round peace even in the midst of chaos.
5. Assurance of everlasting victory over enemies.
6. Daily living 1 Kings 19 : 15
7. Divine supplies. Jn. 16 : 13, 2 : 1-6, 1kings 17 : 3-4

*Methods of His Leading*
Our Lord leads in different ways, some of the ways by which He leads people are but not limited to the following;
1. Through His word.
Psalm 119 : 105
2. Through His Spirit
Rms 8 : 14, Jn.16 : 13
Jn 6 : 63 It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
3. Through vision
Acts 18 : 9-11, 10 : 1-22 Conelius
4. Through dreams
Matt 2 : 13-15 Joseph
5. Through prophecies from holy men and women of God
Acts 21 : 10-14

*Who does He lead?*
Romans 8 : 14
*For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.*
He leads only those that are his children, those that have accepted Him as their Lord and personal Saviour.
Thanks to God, this is a godly assembly, I want to believe that we are all God’s children, but if there is any reason to rededicate our lives to Him afresh, it is allowed now because God is no respecter of person and even place. He is right here with us, so just go before Him and ask for His mercy and He will gladly accept you back.
When He leads and you follow, He empowers you to shame the enemies as HE did to David when he confronted goliath .
I pray as we anchor our lives unto Him to lead us through, we shall have everlasting victory over our all enemies in Jesus name.

*Conclusion*
Though in the world of today, there are false leadings out there, that doesn't mean that God is no more in the business of leading His own this day.

He led the Isrealites in time past, led David to kill goliath, led Peter to catch more fishes and so on. He is still in the business of leading because He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

*I pray as we surrender all to Him, He shall lead us to the desired and expected end in Jesus mighty name, amen.*

_It must also be noted, that one person can exhibit all the four categories, however, one of them would dominate or be profound_

_none of these four temperamental traits is EVIL, you only have to know/identify yourself and manage it by submitting your WILL to the dictates of the Holy Spirit_

_It's expedient to know yourself in order to help you know others_
_This shall enhance your healthy relationships with every individual_

_*do not forget, that Nature & Nurture have the tendencies of altering these traits*_
