Please read if you need a miracle job!

MIRACLE JOB BANQUET

First off, I need you to understand that we are in the prophetic last days when things will become unbearably hard for the earth and it's inhabitants. Great industries will be shutting down, big conglomerates will be closing down, so many people will be experiencing hardship because they will be out of jobs or unproductive in their engagements. Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. But as by redemption, your own case is different in this last days. 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. 2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished. By the power of redemption, you have escaped the the corruption of the last days. You are called a king and a priest in this last days. Can you imagine the son of a former President looking for a job in his own country? Not to talk of the son of a current President. He just needs a note from his father and all doors will begin to open to him. Now imagine what will happen to you as a son of God. Every time you believe his word concerning any issue you are holding a note from Him confronting that issue!
Understand that when we talk about joblessness, we are not just talking about people without paid employment, we are also talking about contractors and suppliers without contracts or places to supply, consultants without clients, salesmen not having anything going for them, you have a consulting firm but nobody is coming there, they only know your address, you have stuff in your shop but nobody is coming to buy them. All these is declared over today in Jesus name! Amen! Anyone not productively engaging needs God's divine intervention. Understand that God hates to see his people doing nothing. Matthew 20:6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? 20:7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. This is a picture of God that shows his anger against joblessness. God is the householder in this picture and he always has something for everyone in his household to do. This means he's got something for you to do. Therefore, whatever keeps you doing nothing is cursed today in Jesus name! Understand that every parable that Jesus taught unveils to us how God behaves- in this one he hates to see anyone in his household idle. May your hands become seeing eyes and may your hands become finding hands today in Jesus name!
The good news is that God has a miracle job waiting for you today.
1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. God is not an infidel, he has provided something to do for you. 2 Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. Hod is under obligation to provide a job for you. Look here. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. If God expects you to work before you eat, and he is obligated to provide something for his own, then, relax, he must have provided something for you. Therefore, the siege holding you down joblessness is cursed today! Some people are very skilled, yet something is just covering them from progressing. Everything holding you down is cursed today in Jesus name!
Haggi and her son were dying away in the wilderness. Genesis 21:15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. 21:16 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.Genesis 21:19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. Yes, the world has become a dessert but there is always a well for you. I command your eyes to be open to see the amazing opportunities around you in Jesus name! Amen! Every empire on earth is built on ideas, in Jesus name, begin to see what others cannot see. Why must you die of thirst? Look around, there is a well of water around you- amazing opportunities with unlimited possibilities. A man had a doctorate degree from the USA and he came to Nigeria searching for a job, but couldn't find. His eyes was opened to a very small oil palm business and before he knew what was happening it had become big time business- a well of water! A youth corper found himself in an area where he was the only economics teacher, he started teaching extra lessons in economics and he made #2 million in one year. A young man in covenant university went into small scale fish business, before he knew what was happening it expanded, and he paid his way through private school with the returns and he even had employees. A man lost his job but with his car he started taxi business in the airport area, the first day he came back home with #3000. He started packaged dried fish business from the returns and today he is exporting his product! A woman was selling waste bottles on a small scale and before she knew it grow, she used the proceeds from it to travel abroad and get a university education. Understand that doing nothing will only erode your dignity. At the end of this article, you begin to see what you couldn't see before in Jesus name!
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Start to seek the expansion of God's kingdom here on earth through soul winning, and God will divinely add to you. I have found out that this is the jackpot of life! When you take pleasure in the things of God, you are entitled to his favour. Psalms 102:13 Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. 102:14 For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof. Favour will reposition your life this week in Jesus name! Many job seekers shall become employers of labour this year. God will open your eyes to see the well of water. Genesis 21:19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

*Topic : Noah : A Godly Man In A Perverse Generation*
*Text : Genesis 7 : 1*
*7 And the Lord said unto Noah, “Come thou and all thy house into the ark, for thee have I seen righteous before Me in this generation.*

In Genesis 5 & 6, it was recorded that the population got multiplied through procreation.
Yes this is the will of God. .... but it was unfortunate that as the world increased then, so also evil multiplied.
This is not the plan God had for the world.
In the generation of Noah, people were just wicked- doing what pleases them, having wild parties, merry making at the expense of God among other things,
... but one man named Noah was found to meet God’s standard to be called righteous in that same wicked generation.
Genesis 6 : 5-9
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagining of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And the Lord repented that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him in His heart.

7 And the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, and the creeping thing and the fowls of the air, for I repent that I have made them.”

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Without no Bible, no preacher he decided to fear God in all his ways. Noah was indeed a different man in an indifferent world. This is worthy to be emulated because as it was in his generation then, so also in this present generation which is full of wickedness.
Brethren, to be called righteous in this evil world, it is not just a mouth say, though Jesus is our righteousness but we must separate ourselves from the practices of the world that are not in comformity with the word of God.
1 John  2 : 15 - 17.
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away and the lust thereof, but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

God does frown at wickedness, thus reason for passing judgement.
It is good to know that God always make a provision for a way out for people in order not to be consumed in HIS judgement. HE allowed Noah to be an evangelist, and he preached to the people of his time about the impending danger if they refused to heed to his warning and continue in their wickedness, .....but alas , they turned a deaf ear to the message of salvation and eventually they perished.
Why?
Maybe they refused Noah's message because they thought how will a loving God destroy HIS people just like that, they forgot that as God is a loving father, so HE is also a consuming fire.
Hebrews 12 : 29.
29 For our God is a consuming fire.
Is this not happening in this present generation? Of course it is, people taking the message of the gospel with a levity hand. Many are even saying God can not send what HE created to burn in hell. Some also do not believe in rapture of the saints while some believe that God will throw them beyond hell fire and other unthinkable words.
This generation should be wiser than that of Noah's because this present generation has antecedents. Before the flood, there is no history where the entire human race were wiped out by God. Unlike Noah's generation, no wonder this qualified Noah to be counted  among the people of faith in Hebrews, this generation has the record of the flood and Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19 : 24), therefore this generation has no excuse not to yield to the message of salvation.
I pray God will make us wise enough to heed to the gospel truth and live by it in Jesus mighty name.
As in the days of Noah , people are now being carried away by the affairs of this world - birthday, wedding, making money etc. , people are complacent in their relationship with God, these should not be our portion brethren because HE who brought judgement in Noah's time is still there, HE is the same yesterday, today and forever and HE will not continue to watch the wickedness going on in the world forever,  HE will surely pass the judgement.
I pray we shall not be consumed by the coming judgement in Jesus mighty name.
It was written in verse 9 of Genesis 6 *....and Noah walked with God*
People of God, to walk with God is a personal decision as seen in the life of Noah, though living among those who were indulging in various nefarious acts to please themselves but the Man Noah refuse to follow the multitude to do evil.
A decision not to conform with world in her negative ways. Brethren, it is embittered these days to hear names such as Timothy, Paul etc among armed robbery syndicate, kidnapping gang etc.
It is a decision to win the war over self (flesh), sin and satan.
It is a decision to say yes to Jesus in all our doings
It is a decision to please God, and not to satisfy the lust of the flesh.
It is a decision for self denial.
It is a decision to be a light in the dark of this world.
A decision to make our characters point people  (sinners) to Christ Jesus.
Remember character is what you really are in the dark when no one is watching.

*Deductions from Noah's life in walking with God*
There are many things we can learn from the life of Noah in serving and walking with God.
*1. His referential fear for God.*
Malachi 3 : 16,
16 Then those who feared the Lord spoke often one to another, and the Lord hearkened and heard it. And a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared the Lord and who thought upon His name.
Job 28 : 28
28 And unto man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord: that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.’”
Though he lived in a corrupted world, but chose to fear God, not slavery fear, but the fear that makes one to run from evil when no one is watching.  Hebrews 11 : 7
This is worthy of emulation brethren. .
*2. His complete obedience to the commandments of God.
* Genesis 6 : 22
22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
He carried out the instructions as they were giving and not bending them to suit himself. Jesus said, if you love me you will obey my commandments. Brethren, this must be our delight also.
*3. His righteous living.*
Refused to have extra marital affairs, rather he chose to remain faithful to his wife, enrich his pocket by embezzling public fund rather he chose to be contented , participate in exam malpractices rather he chose to imbibe the spirit of hard work, engage in foolish talk rather he chose to let his words be seasoned with salt just to mention but a few.
Brethren, if Noah can live holy in his days, we can as well do it in this wicked generation especially when we are living in the time of grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
*4. His righteous witness.*
2 Peter 2 : 5.
5 and spared not the old world, but saved Noah, the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the Flood upon the world of the ungodly;
He carried out the work of evangelism faithfully to the people to get saved. He preached the message he received from God without adulteration.
The question before us is how are we handling the assignment of the great commission given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ?
Is the salvation of souls that are yet to be saved of paramount important to us?
God shall help us to be diligent and faithful in rising for the salvation of others.
*5. His consistent walk with God.*
He walked with God till the end.
As we have considered the good sides of Noah's life, let look at the other side of his life because it as well has something to teach us.
Though a man of great faith, we should not forget that he is a human being as you and I. He has a weak point which is not well dealt with and resultant effect is devastating.
Maybe he has been used to drinking, but in this period, he got drunk to the excess to the point of being in a state of unclothedness. What a terrible weakness?  In his state of unclothedness one of his children made jest of him. After he realised what happened, he cursed the child, unfortunately the curse is still in ravage on the generation of that child which is believed to be of Africa descendants.
No wonder the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 9 : 18 that one sinner destroy more good. Though Noah was saved at last , but the deed had been done. This is the reason why many Africa countries are struggling to catch up with the developed nations of the world despite the huge resources at her disposal.
Thank God there is a way out of the curse because curse is anyone that is hung on the tree. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has gone to the cross to bear the curse for us, this is more reason why we have to give our lives totally to Him, who is able to save and deliver. Galatians 3 : 13
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is every one who hangeth on a tree”),
Brethren, this other side of Noah's life is a lesson for us to take charge of our appetite in any thimng and not to be complacent in our walking with God because our arc enemy, the devil, is looking at that weak point(s) of ours to attack.
The question now is will you & I be that new sister Noah and that brother Noah that God will call righteous in our daily living (talks, studies, engagaging in business, dressing, among others) in a perverted generation as of now?
I pray that the grace to be found righteous, God shall give to us in Jesus mighty name.

*Conclusion*
As Noah was, so also we are now in this wicked, corrupted and perverted generation. Brethren,  let's be different in this indifferent world - when others are sagging their trousers, we shall do the norm, when others are showing cleavage, we shall cover our unclothedness, among others. I pray that the grace to do these God shall grant unto us in Jesus mighty name.
Let's endeavour to show the light of God in the dark of this world by our shining and godly characters so that we can draw people to Christ Jesus. Remember that the world is no more reading the Bible but our lives' style.
Bible Reflection
Romans 12 : 1 & 2
12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Message from the throne of Grace.

Topic  Renewing your mind.
Text Romans 12 : 2
And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

The mind (heart) which is the engine room of any human being because the issues of life come out from there, is a vital part that must be guided with all wisdom.
What comes out of one's mind continually if not checked can either make or mal the person. Satan knows about this , that is why he continually throw darts so as to deviate one from God. Satan in his cunning ways can even present the thoughts in such a way that one will think it is true and worthy to meditate and act upon as he did to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ during those temptations, lo and behold,  it is a bait to destroy a person because his mission is to kill and destroy.
Mark 7 : 21 - 23
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

23 all these evil things come from within and defile the man.

How to constantly renew our minds.
1. By watching over our heart diligently.
Proverbs 4 : 23
Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the outflowings of life.

2. By meditating and observing the word of God constantly.
Joshua 1 : 8
This Book of the Law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein. For then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

3. By bringing all thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10 : 5
casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ,

4. By letting the peace of God to reign supreme over the mind.
Philippians 4 : 7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

5. By self determination.
1 Peter 1 : 13
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind; be sober and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Job 31 : 1
“I made a covenant with mine eyes. Why then should I think upon a maid?

6. By setting one's mind on the things above only.
Colossians 3 : 2.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

7. By thinking of Philippians 4 : 8 always.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Conclusion
Though satan may throw and bring some nasty suggestions to the mind, don't meditate on it, instead cast it put , and it shall be well with you.

Shalom.

Prayer Points
1. Thank God for this beautiful day.
2. Father, grant me the power and the grace to guide my mind jealously.
3. Father, fill my mind with holy thoughts.
4. As I go this week let YOUR goodness and mercy be my companion.
5. Make my ways and that of my loved ones prosperous as we go this week in Jesus name.
6. Father, help me to be conscious of eternity now and always in Jesus mighty name.
7. Appreciate God for HE shall do exactly as you have prayed in Jesus mighty name.

Do have a testifying week

WHO SAYS CHRISTIAN SISTERS ARE NOT TO BE MODEST AND CAN’T FIND A GODLY MAN TO MARRY BEING MODEST?____________________________________BY OLUFEMI Emmanuel
As a Christian godly sister, I want you to know that you are not a Christian because of a Christian and you are not a Christian because of a church or probably being a Christian by practicing Christianity as the thebest religion. No not at all. You are a Christian because of the saving power of Jesus Christ. And so if truly you have a real and keen relationship with him, you will be modest in all you do even coming down to your dressing because you represent Christ’s bride. All form of body exposure should be taken care of by considering modesty in dressing. You are not to dress to impress anyone you are notto dress to seduce, you are to dress to cover your unclothedness cos Christ lives in you and every form of worldliness in dressing should be perverted. You hear some so called sisters today say that they can’t just dress this old-fashion way cos of the advancement in technology and hence there must be some little addition so that these brothers won’t say they’re looking old. Hey no, you are missing it. You are beautiful just the way you are. Don’t allow any brother or friends to tell you that you not gonnasee God’s desired man for you because of your dressing. Won’t it be so unwise of you to miss heaven just because of dressing?Christian sisters can be modest in their dressing and still see wonderful godly men that will still marry them. You know what is right, do what is right. A real man won’t desire to marry you because of those skimpy short dresses you fond of wearing. If God was to meet you unexpectedlyat your closest, would he be happy seeing you with such a dress or with such dressing?Don’t be brainwashed with the sayings of the world that you dress to impress those guys, you dress to make those brothers blush, you dress to make brother A have intentions for you, not at all, believe such no things.Let me ask you. Wont it be better you dress the so called “OLD-FASHIONED WAY OF DRESSING” and marry a man that will draw you more closer to GOD and heaven than marry a man that will weaken your Christian faith and convictions in God because of your sexy skimpy dresses? Think about that.Ladies that know their worth and privilege in Christ will know that they are hid in Christ and hence dressing won’t make brothers look for them in marriage but rather prayers will make brothers look for them for marriage. You can be modest and marry God’s perfect will for your life cos there is a diamond in you. You are modest, smart, beautiful and intelligent.
God bless you.

Hmmm
This is serious. ..... but to start with as a Christian, who are we to fear between God and human being?
Definitely God.

Now the issue is God commanded us to honour our parents. .... part of honouring them is to obey them. Then what is the way out?

Kindly approach them as gentle as dove and let them know your stand in God and that you can not use the same mouth you use to pray to God to also do the bidding of satan by lying.

Do this prayerfully and God will see you through. Remember that girl in the hands of Boko Haram who refused to deny Christ Jesus despite the threat.

God shall strengthen you

This message has Awoken me dearly and I think you need it too. I thought I should share as received.

RIGHTEOUS IDOL WORSHIPPER?

I wondered why I was in the queue of accused at all. I am intelligent, aggressive, young, totally committed to my God. What am I doing here with this sheet of supposed sins in my hand I wondered?

I don’t drink, I don't smoke, I don’t fornicate, I don’t steal, I am righteous. Others should be here not me.

It was finally my turn to face the Man.

I placed my sheet before Him, He glanced at it and sighed softly. He looked at me and calmly said, ‘Guilty of idol worship.'

Imagine my anger, my fury, my indignation. I jumped out of the chair and said ‘Of course not! Check the sheet again, check the name, It can't be mine.’

He sighed again and mentioned one of my names that no one knows.

I would not be stopped. It's impossible’ I yelled. I worship only God, the Most High, Maker of heaven and earth, the King of kings and Lord of lords. I bow down to none, I have no talisman, no amulet, no pot underneath my bed.

‘You are guilty of idol worship’ He repeated calmly.

He looked at me, I looked at Him. It seemed like forever. The room was silent. I could hear the clock ticking.

Then slowly I understood.

I am never late for bus/train station or air flight but I am always late to church - I blinked.

My payments to services I enjoy eg: Dstv, phone bills etc, are never late but I haven’t given offerings/tithes in three months - I looked down.

When meeting one of our local chiefs last week I would not even pick a call in the presence of earthly royalty, but I WhatsApp in church

I wouldn’t interrupt my performance appraisal with my boss for anything but I missed church last week because of a series on TV

I wouldn’t let a day end without talking to my spouse but today I just said Hi God, Bye God. And I didn’t even pray last night - The room began to feel hot.

I would never miss going to the bank because of the weather but I missed fellowship on Tuesday and Thursday because it was drizzling .

I would wear my party colors to party meetings and not care what anyone thought of me but I hate to talk to my workmates about God because of what they will think of me.

I always have the latest tech gadget you can think of but my bible is so worn out. I can’t even find the book of Jude in my bible anymore.

The last thing to touch before going to bed is my phone and the first thing in the morning....chating on whatapp or replying offline messages. And never bordering to talk with God or reading His word.

I felt so hot in the room, a nervous sweat on my forehead, I felt so ill and weak, all of my anger and self-righteousness was gone, leaving immense guilt in its wake.

I slowly got off the chair and knelt by His feet and said ‘I am sorry, I am guilty as charged, Guilty of idol worship, guilty of placing others; humans, technology before You. I am guilty of idol worship.’

He smiled gently, looked at me with those passionate eyes of His full of love and He gave me a fresh sheet!and said, Deliver souls!!

If time would permit u, u can also share or inform others to alert them as I know they are not aware of what they are doing.

God bless you as you share to deliver souls with me. Amen. Pls share cos it doesn't cost u extra money.

WE REJECT! Yes We Do!

We reject this brouhaha we throw ourselves into regarding the classification of skin colour... We aren't Black for fun!

We reject the diversification of ill-thoughts due to our colour... Our colour doesn't affect our thoughts, stop it!

Brenda's rejecting, so is Whyke. We reject the chain of hatred we bundle our self into.

Are you also rejecting? Do share your thoughts here

*COMPANIONSHIP*

When I travelled with one of my Daddies, after talking for a while, I saw the need to get busy with my phone. So, I started pressing my phone beside him in the car. On our way, he started another discussion and I was replying him even though I was glued to my phone. At another time, he cracked a joke and I laughed still glued to my phone. Then, there was silence for a while. I didn't feel it because I was busy with my phone; replying to chats, checking people's status, viewing news feeds and all. He felt the silence because he was doing nothing but driving and that could be, in itself, tiring. We stayed like that for a while. Then, he broke the silence - "Flora, are you not supposed to keep my company? Why are you following me on this trip if all you want to do is to press your phone? Don't ever try this with your husband. It has ruined relationships." I felt bad. Was the period of silence that long? I tried replying to convince him that I didn't mean to but all I could utter was "I'm sorry Daddy" and I dropped my phone. After that day, whenever I'm with him in the car, I always remember that incident. So, I'll keep my phone away and start racking my brain for what to say to keep his company. If a human being feels that way, what about God?

You are on a journey with God in this life. The fact that He's the One driving you through the streets of life does not mean He doesn't need your company. He needs your attention at all times. He could have been signalling all the while to have your total attention but you've been replying Him with your busy mind; busy with diverse thoughts about life's accomplishments. Don't ever miss the signal. For instance, when you feel the burden to pray and your gadgets are also calling, you pick up your gadgets replying to chats and muttering some prayers. You laugh amidst your chats and assume seriousness again to mutter some more prayers. Tell me, are you praying or chatting or is there such word as "pray-chatting"? Don't ruin your relationship with God! Focus! Focus on your Maker! You will never understand how far apart you are with Him until you try to break the long forgotten silence. You'll then realise that you've got a lot of catching up to do.

Mark 12:30 admonishes _"...and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment"_. This means everything about you must be centred in God's love. You must be so filled with the aura of Christ that you shouldn't get distracted by the world. Not a single thing or decision should make you leave His presence. By His presence, I mean the consciousness of His existence within you. Not for a second should you forget you're carrying Christ inside of you. He is interested in everything about you, I mean EVERYTHING! That's how loving He is. _"We love him, because he first loved us"_ (1 John 4:19).

*Talk to Him. Walk with Him. Commune with Him. Complain about what you don't understand. Report situations to Him. Laugh with Him. Cry with Him. He understands all you are feeling within you and I assure you, He is the best person that can accommodate all your feelings. He's got the best antidotes for every situation.*

_*When last did you feel God's presence within you? Don't ever lose touch with Him. He's your first and forever love. Every other thing or person around you is only an occupant of a passing phase called life but God lives forever. Abide in Him.*_

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: FRIDAY 13TH APRIL 2018

THEME: SUSCEPTIBLE THROUGH MERRIMENT.

MEMORISE:

It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. Ecclesiastes 7:2

READ: Matthew 14:6-11

6 But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.

7 Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.

8 And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.

9 And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.

10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.

11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.

MESSAGE

Today’s Bible reading narrates the sad story of how unbridled merriment can propel a man to do what he would otherwise not have done. The devil is a cunning old serpent. He knows too well that his chances of success are slim whenever he attacks a child of God directly. He therefore deploys tricks to attack people when they are in a vulnerable state, such as when the heart is merry and full of happiness. When you are light-hearted, be watchful so that it does not end in sorrow and regret. This is why the wisdom of God in Proverb 14:13 teaches us that

“Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.”

A quick lesson we should learn from the story in today’s Bible reading is that merriment outside of God will always end up in crisis. King Herod was very sorry for making the promise he had made to his daughter, probably under the influence alcohol, but it was too late for him to take back the oath he had committed himself to in his light-heart mood. Another lesson we should learn here is that the enemy looks out for moments when you let your guard down, and then he strikes. Examples of such moments are times when you just won a victory and when you are in high spirits. Happiness often has the same effect as alcohol on the reasoning faculties of man, and so you need to watch it.

There is a type of laughter that is derived from pleasurable but sinful acts. The Bible refers to such laughter as the crackling of thorns under a pot (Ecclesiastes 7:6). The Israelites manifested such laughter and merriment when they made a golden calf for themselves as their god. Exodus 32:6 says:

“And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.”

But for Moses’ intercessory prayers, they would have been wiped off the face of the earth by this foolish act. It is commonly said that “He who laughs last, laughs best.” The last and best laughter is the laugh in eternity with our Maker. Speaking about this laughter, Jesus Christ in Luke 6:21b says:

“Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.”

When the Messiah shall return the second time, he shall put an end to all suffering, and there shall be everlasting laughter (Revelations 21:1-7). Ensure you don’t miss it!

PRAYER POINT:

Father, help me not to indulge in any act that would give me temporary happiness and produce eternal sorrow.

2. The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
No turning back, no turning back.

3. Though none go with me, still I will follow;
Though- none go with me, still I will follow;
Though none go with me, still I will follow;
No turning back, no turning back.

4. My cross I’ll carry, till I see Jesus;
My cross I’ll carry, till I see Jesus;
My cross I’ll carry, till I see Jesus;
No turning back, no turning back.

Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
No turning back, no turning back.

THE LORD NEEDS IT!

MEMORISE:
And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him. Luke 19:31

READ:
Luke 19:29-35

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Joshua 23-24; & 1Timothy 2-3.

MESSAGE:
A salient truth that everyone, particularly children of God, should not be ignorant of is that God created everything for a purpose. This is why we call the almighty God the God of plan and purpose. For example, in Genesis 1:26, when man was to be created, God first declared his purpose before creating him, saying:

“Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

God will not create what He does not need. Whatever you find on earth has a reason for existing. Not knowing the usefulness of an entity in God’s creation does not negate the reason why God created it. It is just unfortunate that more often than not, we abuse, misuse or completely neglect the use of many things created for one divine purpose or the other. In today’s Bible reading, even the owner of the donkey did not know the eternal purpose God had for his donkey until the Lord’s message got to him, asking him to release it to fulfill the prophecy concerning it (Zechariah 9:9). This donkey looked ordinary to its owner, but to its Maker it was a unique donkey. You therefore, need to look at things through the eyes of the Creator to understand their purpose.

Many years ago, I told some ministers who had just answered the divine call into full-time ministry that whatever skills they had acquired should be kept because such skills would be needed in the running of the church. These days, there is a tendency for an architect to drop his or her skill set when going into ministry. Such people fail to realize that the Church needs architects to design her buildings. Who would do a better job of this than a Spirit-filled architect? In Exodus 36:1-2, God purposely raised Bezaleel and Aholiab for the purpose of the building of His tabernacle. Indeed every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of lights (James 1:17).

Beloved, the Lord needs that skill, that gift, that money and that position you have. I appeal to you to use your talents primarily for God and secondarily as your meal ticket. May the Lord bless you as you bless Him with your divine endowments in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please open my eyes to see the divine purpose for existence. Grant me grace to use the gifts, skills, position and wealth you have endowed me with for Your glory and pleasure.

HYMN 12:
1. Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

2. Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee.
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3. Take my voice and let me sing,
Always, only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.
Filled with messages from Thee.

4. Take my silver and my gold,
Not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose.
Every power as Thou shalt choose.

5. Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is Thine own,
It shall be Thy royal throne.
It shall be Thy royal throne.

6. Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee.
Ever, only, all for Thee.

*LESSONS ON MARRIAGE*

1. *EVERYONE YOU MARRY HAS A WEAKNESS*

Only God has no weakness. Every rose flower has its own thorn. If you focus too much on your spouse’s weakness, you can’t get the best out of his/her strength.

2. *EVERYONE YOU MARRY HAS A DARK HISTORY*

No one is an angel, therefore, avoid digging one’s past. What matters is the present life of your partner. Old things are passed away. Try to forgive and forget. The past can’t be changed. So focus on the present and the future!

3. *EVERY MARRIAGE HAS IT’S OWN CHALLENGES*

Marriage is not bed of roses. Every shining marriage has gone through its own test of hot and excruciating fire. True love is proved in time of challenge. Fight for your marriage! Make up your mind to stay with your spouse in time of needs. Remember this is the vow you made on your wedding day!

4. *EVERY MARRIAGE HAS DIFFERENT LEVELS OF SUCCESS*

Don’t compare your marriage with anyone! We can never be equal, some will be far in front and others far behind. To avoid marriage stresses, be patient, work hard and with time, your marriage dreams shall come true.

5. *TO MARRY IS TO DECLARE A WAR*

When you marry, you must declare a war against enemies of marriage. Some of the enemies of marriage are: Ignorance, Rumours, Prayerlessness, Unforgiveness, Adultery, Third Party Influence, Stinginess, Stubbornness, Lack Of Love, Rudeness, Wife battery, Laziness, winning, nagging, PRIDE, Divorce etc. Be ready to fight to maintain your marriage zone.

6. *THERE IS NO PERFECT MARRIAGE*

There is no ready made marriage anywhere. Marriage is hard work, volunteer yourself and perfect it daily. Marriage is like a MOTOR CAR with a gear oil, gear box, etc If these parts are not properly maintained, the car will break down somewhere along the road and expose the occupant to unhealthy circumstances. – Many of us are careless about our marriage… Are you? If you are, please pay attention to your marriage.

7. *GOD CANNOT GIVE YOU THE COMPLETE PERSON YOU DESIRE*

God gives you, her or him in form of raw materials in order for you to mold what you desire. You may desire a woman who can pray for 1 hour but your wife can only pray for 30 minutes. With your love, prayer and encouragement, she can improve.

8. *TO MARRY IS TO TAKE A RISK*

You cannot predict what will happen after marriage, as situation may change, so, leave a room for adjustment. Pregnancy may not come in the next 4 years. You may get married to her because she's slim but she becomes a little fat after a child. He may lose his beautiful job for years that you have to take the financial responsibility of the family until he gets a new job. But with God by your side, you will smile at long last.

9. *MARRIAGE IS NOT A CONTRACT, IT IS PERMANENT*

Marriage needs total commitment, love is the glue that makes a couple stick together. Divorce starts in the mind. Never think of divorce! Never threaten your spouse with divorce. Choose to remain married! God hates divorce, though it’s permitted only in extreme cases.

10. *EVERY MARRIAGE HAS A PRICE TO PAY*

Marriage is like a bank account. It is the money you deposit into your bank account that you can withdrawn. If you don’t deposit love, peace and care into your marriage, you are not a candidate of a blissful home. There is no free love in marriage, You cannot love without giving and sacrificing....
