Definition of righteousness part 1.....
Righteousness is a state at which a man or a woman sin no more.he or she is above sin and perfect as concerning the laws. CLUE NO.. this is the general definition but greatly untrue under the new covenant that jesus made.even though this is the old covenant definition of righteousness but all stumbled and all failed at it. “ Rom 4vs5 CEV but you cannot make God accept you because of something you you do.God accepts sinners only because they have faith in him.” So the new covenant definition of righteousness is found in Rom 1vs17 “this good news tells us how God makes us right in his own sight.this is accomplished from start to finish by faith.. NOTICE the phrase in Gods sight...in mans sight it is otherwise.so faith in what jesus did for us on the cross is the definition of righteousness.
N.B its a daily teaching to change your life and relationship with your father in heaven

Bidam: Pls was Adam righteous before he ate the forbidden fruit?
yes he was and that's the reason jesus was called the second adam because he came to restore us to the position the first adam fell from.

Definition of righteousness part 2.....
Righteousness is not what you do or you dont do,but who you are and what you have received. Many times we are made to believe that righteousness is acheived through what we do or do not do but this is unscriptural.it was sometimes true in the old covenant but no more true. Righteousness is who we are , 2Cor 5vs21 NIV “God made him who had no sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. You see jesus became sin for you to BECOME righteoousness once and for all. Also he gave us righteousness as a gift..Rom 5vs17 NIV “for if by the trespass of one man, death reigned through that one man, how much morewill those whio receive Gods abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, jesus christ. “ and because its a gift God cannot take it away from you as the Gift and calling of God are without repentance, meaning cannot be taken away.

That is where u re wrong bro... Adam and eve were never righteous.. They were created sinful and fallen...from d very first moment they drew a breath of air, they were fallen and in a depraved nature before they had done any good or bad...why? Simply because they were both created as fleshly human beings, and paul stated it clearly that"they in the flesh cannot please God"(romans8:cool. By being created "in the flesh" made our first parents to be different from God(though they were in the likeness and image of God) because they were not made with spiritual bodies as the father and christ.no wonder paul said: "for i know that in me(that is in my flesh) dwelleth no goo thing" (rom7:18).in fact, paul went on in romans 8:3-13 to state that simply being in the flesh separated a person from God. Adam and Eve were created with "fallen natures" because they were created in flesh. Taking of the tree was a consequence of their "fallen nature", it was not the deed that cause them to "fall".

unfortunately there is not scripture to proof your point. read roman chapter 5 and you will see that all the scripture you are quoting came up because one man sinned ,one man was condemned, one man fell from righteousness with God and that is what jesus came to restore. if adam had not sinned there would be no need for jesus to come. cheers bro..

Who is a righteous person......
Rom 4vs24 AMP “but [they were written] for our sakes too. [righteousness, standing acceptable to God] will be granted and credited to us also who believe in (trust in, adhere to, and rely on) God, who raised jesus our lord from the dead...” Gal 3vs11 KJV “but that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for the just shall live by faith...”. notice the clause in the sight of God.in the sight of man ,no one can be justified by faith but by the works of the law as man cannot see faith nor the heart. They only see works, attitude, and behaviour. But God declare a man who has faith in his son jesus as the christ who died and rose from the dead for our sin righteous. Gods own way of viewing things is totally different from humans and God own way are always of no sense.God declares a man righteous for his faith.

Righteousness apart from the works of the law.......
Is it really possible to achieve righteousness apart from obeying all the laws and commandments of God? YES! David himself proves this: Rom 4vs6 KJV “just as david describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from the works:.” David did not benefit from this as the time of such grace started far beyound their time on the cross. But he blessed such man or people who will benefit from such grace. Also note that God does impute righteousness without the fulfillment of the law. Let me conclude with what himself says in Gal 2vs21 KJV“ i donot set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law then christ died in vain. Wow! This righteousness is by faith in jesus.
How to attain to the righteousness of God.......

Dec 02-2012. YOU CANNOT LOSE YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS EXCEPT UNBELIEF. Paul in the bible made distinction between you and your body. You are saved if you are a believer in christ but not your body.your soul is being saved as you study the word of God and renew your thought to conform with the word of God. Now the free righteousness that God bestows is not in you body through which you make contact with this sinful word nor is it in your soul with which you think about things of this world but it is bestowed and kept in your spirit through which you serve God. No devil, no sin , no person can steal it. Only leaving christianity-i mean deny the work jesus did for you which is unbelief can made the holyspirit depart with it.
