make sure you get the drivers. then try unlockroot

i tried rooting bt mine alwz stops and says "INVALID QT VERSION" what do i do at this point..
iv tried othr Ministro versions and evn d config tool (setting it to testing as someone said).. bt stil it stil shows Invalid qt version..
help's appreciated thanks.

Hi, i jus saw a video of a custom rom of d galaxy s 3 n it looks smooth on d galaxy nexus, i want to dwnload it for my tecno n7 but its a zip not an apk file, would it work?

What?, D guy said it will work for custom roms CM9, AOPK n slim ICS, plus d test was done on a galaxy nexus wit ICS, so i though i could put one of dese roms on my n7 and den use d touchwiz luncher, or better stil pls watch d vids n tel me what to do! Cuz i realy like dat rom/luncher or whatever he installed.

brainrex pls hw many days did ur tecno n3 spend at tecno office wen u went to repair it. Can i wait to collect my own dat day becos ama be coming frm abeokuta. Pls i need ur reply.

Guys, please, now that i have successfully rooted my Tecno n3 how can i change my massage alert tone to use a sung that i have downloaded?
Can i now change my preferred storage location to my SD card?

@apparition how did u do it i mean d ringtone for message and how also did u root ur n3? is it with the follow up of brainrex at his blog or what? n how is d user exp. after rooting?

First the ring tone
1. Attach your usb chord to your phone and hook it up to your pc.
2.Open up your mass storage i.e your SD card.
3.Click on new folder.
4.Create a new folder called notifications.
5.Drag and drop or copy and paste any mp3 song you want to use as ring tone into or on that notifications folder.
6.Close the folder and unhook the usb.
7.Open the message ringtone slot in your phone and you will find the song there.
8.Click on it, close the slot and Bob's your uncle.

Second rooting
I just used the poot.apk. I downloaded and installed it on my phone and followed the prompt.

Yes. Think carefully before rooting though. My phone went into a self reboot operation.
I am still trying to address this.For instance the battery level icon on my phone isn't there anymore.

My Tecno n3 has rebooted itself and in the process unrooted itself, getting rid of the poot.apk and all the applications installed after rooting. The phone has its own self preservation mechanism.
I am not sure this rooting thing is a good idea if your are not crazy about games, which i am not.
I am not sure Androids are necessarily better than non Androids.

Guys please help me. I have downloaded the poot.apk, followed the steps stated, unfortunately when i click on poot, my fone just restart. Been trying this for days now, please help
