i want to deploy an asp.net web application so that it can run on a system that visual studio.net is not install.thnks

Do you mean you want to host it locally so that other systems can have access to the site or do you want to host it on a web server that you have gotten online or what?

You don't need to do anything you just have to deploy the asp.net application to an IIS server then use any system even mac and linux, and point to the address of the asp.net web application and that is it.
Asp.net is server side,it runs on the server and only shows it as an html/css/javascript so having the server is only for hosting, view your code in VS you'll see something like <asp:BlahBlah> </asp:BlahBlah>, but if you view the source code in the browser you wont see that, you'll see something else
