Karl what is it that you are not saying & why are you so economical with the truth? Yes it is not a today's thing, & so we continue doing what is wrong because the wrong practice did not start from this administration, no wonder, phones are getting tinny & smarter, while Nigerians are getting educated, fatter & stupiid.
that is not what am saying do u thing that the way corruption has been institutionalized in nigeria where even an average citizen is corrupt both from politicians to public and private sector workers to the ordinary citizens it would take just 2 years and a sole person to erradicate it without a change of orientation from the citizenry? A country where me and you in our own small way can arrange soldiers without their oga knowing to do anything for us.GEJ is not omnipotent like God to knw every single thing that happens in his government.

I believe that organisation just wants to be noticed. Of all news media to report their statement, it is Sahara reporters. That should tell us how "credible" the are.

The NDLF is spot-on! We should grab that Oronto of a man by the jugular until he coughs out money for a new chopper....shikena! Sure he's not the first to do it (using public funds/property for private use), but we could try and make sure he's the last.

olmofe4real: It is so shameful that our govt don't know d diff btw social and official matters. They might know but trying to merge them together because of the position they occupy, not knowing that we are washing all their steps. smiley wink cheesy

Honestly, your five year old kid get sense pass you since you actually think that GEJ sits in his office allocating who will use helicopter daily! You tried to make sense but ended up exposing your gross ignorance!

Please stop this "GEJ is not in charge of allocating the helicopters for use". Please stop saying that. u need to read abt leadership and what it entails. A single order and political will from the commander-in-chief can stop the nonsense. remember when president Yardua said he doesn't want to see queues @ the stations within 48 hours or the then petroleum minister's head wld roll, queues disappeared in less than the 48 hours. When he also gave an ultimatum for the niger-delta militants to surrender, after giving them a taste of what is to come and it worked. That is leadership and political will. If a president cannot handle the people that handle the people that handle these things, then he has no business being a president.

In china that a train accident occurred and the minister resigned. Was he the train-master or the controller? Abi na im be the flag man? Yet he resigned. it is because any lapse in the system is HIS FAULT indirectly. He is the leader.

Yes GEJ is the presido and can use anything within his disposal in his quest to better the lot of nigerians (after all he eats cassava bread to encourage cassava farmers), but the question is , is it right for his aides to have such privileges under his nose without someone getting disciplined?

Azzazi has the right as a general to use military equipment, but not for private events and definitely not for 15 trips.

thelastPope: Whoever wrote that stuff up there is a massive 1diot! President Goodluck Jonathan is the commander in chief of the armed forces of Nigeria. He is the highest ranking military officer in Nigeria. People just say things out of ignorance.

If you talking about Oronto Douglas, that is a different matter. We can debate that. That is something that has been going on in Nigeria since I can remember. For your information, the military does provide the helicopters for hire. The police and military provide a lot of commercial services to the public. It is ignorant to think that all police and military service to the public is free. And if you think that GEJ sits in his office everyday allocating who will use helicopter, then you are also ignorant. These things are handled by protocol. And he has complete access and right to use any military helicopter available. That is what obtains all over the world.

Lets forget how it was done since you can remember, lets begin to insist on accountability and equity or else there will be no nigeria in the nearest future and we all might be refugees bn disdained by our neighbours whom we used to feed.

There is too much display of arrogance and uncaring attitude in the use of government resources in nigeria. Even though GEJ is CinC, it does not confer on him the right to use State House vehicles to go and submit his President Election Application form to INEC. That should have bn done by hos party vehicle, but "He doesnt give a damn" anyway

karl max: @Okija_juju thanks for letting them knw that dis didn't start under GEJ like they would want some ignorant nigerians to believe.see how they painted article as if the misuse of the military and other security operatives started under this government.me ma go like hire there submarine for site seeing this december.
. So because the practice did not start with GEJ means he should continue with it?

GEJ is a disgrace to naija, could you imagine, our military authomatically turn to slaves in the hand of politicians, common a presidential aid will make use of naval heliculter like a taxi, and the military will continue to be scare of president influences to avoid one lossing his job, just look at azazi,he said boko haram is pdp and pdp is boko haram, what happen nxt?he was sack, the question in mind is,which destination is GEJ is taking us to?

karl max: it is only a hypocrite that would expect it to end with a wave of magic wand. And only a small mind would expect an age long problem to be solved in 2years.and if I may ask where u present when he parmmited the use of the military aircraft for such pupose.I guess he also permitted the use of policemen as houseboys and house girl to private citizen and also permited military men we see everyday who escort smuggled vehicle and other contraband from cotonu!

SHOW ME A PRESIDENT WHO CAN NOT STOP A WRONG PRACTICE BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN THERE BEFORE HE ASSUMED OFFICE AND I WILL TELL YOU HE IS NOT WORTH BEING A PRESIDENT

I don't blame the politicians for this chopper story sha. I blame our toothless military who have turned themselves into errand boys in the hands of these illiterate politicians. Instead of the military instilling fear in politicians, it's the other way round.

At the GEJ bootlickers (Lastpope & co) who are putting forward a senseless case that the practice of abuse of office started before GEJ & so, ''its not his fault'' :

U guys should stop talking jor!! Was it not CHANGE & FRESH AIR you guys were preaching? Or you've suddenly forgotten what 'change' means abi? You people didnt tell us it'll be a continuation (& even worsening) of the status quo na,even tho it was clear for all to see.

If The Clueless One can't stop some of these practices, then God willing, May 29th, 2015, one of his old bowler hats will be his only property forgotten in aso rock. Rubbish. Otuoke shall be waiting to receive him. He can contest for Ogbia LG chairman in 2019, lets see if he'll effectively manage it.

Okija_juju: .MAKE NDLF GO SIDDON FOR BUSH angry angry angry

So na today them sabi say Nigerian government misuses everything that they own?!

Okay... Let me jug their memory a little.

Everyday, we see bullion vans overtake us in traffic, driving rough at breakneck speed, and with it are two vans of atleast 10 Nigerian police officers. SO the NDLF does not know that its not the Nigerian Polices Job to be escorting money abi?!

OKAY!! What about the new trend of using the Nigerian Military to escort Oyinbo men and guard their houses?! So the NDLF has not seen this treand as well abi?!

OKAY!!! What about the one of rich people buying police escorts?! Even for their wives and children?!

OR the trend of using the Nigerian Police vehicles to carry cement for private citizens?!

WHAT of the Nigerian Army APCS that are stationed at peoples houses?!

OR MTN using the Nigerian ARMY as Maiguard for their shop in Port-harcourt?!

Abeg make them drex go far.. Oil companies & banks have bought up all our security personnels

Everything is this country is misused.. I am surprised that the Nigerian C-120 Airforce planes have not started flying commercial and Armoured tanks have not started running Port-Harcourt to Asaba or Lagos.

And the interesting part is the this helicopter that crashed was bought with TAX PAYERS MONEY O!! Na still our money them go use replace am, na still our money go maintain am.. But when time to use am reach, na for Politicians. These Army and Police that Oyinbos and co have turned into Maiguards, bodyguards and Nwa boy are paid their salaries with TAX PAYERS MONEY!! The guns they use to protect these people were bought, maintained and armed with TAX PAYERS MONEY!!

ABEGI!!

I will be needing the Nigerian Navy Submarine to go and catch crab on the ocean floor next year o!!

Its the C-130 Hercules.
Its quite sad how our leaders are nonchalant to their plight of their fellow citizens . Imagine a neighboring west African country sending it C-130 to Nigeria to help in the ferrying of Naval troops to Maiduguri...

It really is sad.. cry
