iv4fb: confirmed removed in many banks. in as much as it looks like a good innovation, i see traps. If i'm a bank, why should i maintain my atms since i make nothing out of them?

Can you please keep the negativity you imagine for now, we will cross that bridge, whenif we get there.

Most Nigerians are ill-informed, the removal of 100 buck per transaction when using other banks atm was a decision taken by the banks themselves and not a CBN Directive. AGAIN THIS HAS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH CBN.
Used a gtcard on uba atm and nada was deducted from my acct as charges. Dey should also look into sending multiple sms per transaction, my phone is full wit their msgs, why send 3 msgs when i withdraw 30k at a go on a machine that pays a maximum of 10k at a time.

Re: ATM N100 Bank Charge: Update? by TableLeg(m): 5:19pm On Dec 19, 2012
It is just absolutely ridiculous that in this day and age, a financial institution will charge someone for withdrawing his/her own money ......... using an ATM machine!
It should never have happened in Nigeria, in the first place .....

Diamondbank starteed this like 3months ago...u noe when. U use ur atm on another bank...the bank where the atm was used takes a certain percentage off the 100 and the service provider interswitch also takes their percentage..now..the problem is trying to find a way 2 settle interswitch..but with time I guess it will fully swing into action as CBN has put sanctions for banks that do not ensure full compliance..
