@ mama-gee Choosing the final winner is not based on who merely gave the best answer in the interview segment. The judges use that along with the girls overall performance thruout the nite. The contest is more about the girls trying to create an impression on the judges rather than who answered best or who walked best. It is not a nobel prize competition on who can articulate the English language better. Besides the final question is not a true test of if a girl will make a great queen because a lot of factors determine how u answer on stage. They weren't asked the same question,so u cant judge based on that because some questions are harder than others. Miss Philippines question was so straight forward even an autistic patient would answer that language is irrelevant to being miss universe. But Miss USA was asked to think about something she has done and regret and would like to change. She was supposed to answer this within 30 seconds. That is difficult cos u have to start flashing back on what uv done and den expose the shameful regrettable thing uv done within 30 seconds. And Miss USA intelligently answered that hard question, starting by saying that she learns lessons from whatever she does,whether good or bad, and ended by saying even tho she feels bad on picking on her siblings she doesnt regret it. A girl that can correctly dodge a difficult question so as not to appear as a bad person.That is what the judges saw and MADE her the new queen. Its simple as ABC.
