Is someone out there who feels this way toward the man that brought them to this life because right now i feel so much hate for the man am suppose to call my father, to the extent i feel like if i have a gun right now i did murder him.
I know someone reading this would wonder what a father must have done for his son to have so much hate for him?

k2039: As much as my father isn't/wasn't responsible for my upbringing, all I can just learn from him is to be a better father for my children.

It's pointless hating him, I can just learn from his mistakes.

My father is a definition of what i want in my husband to be.hes so caring,willing n ready to help financially,spiritually and domestically.i remember some years back when my mom was down with cancer,he would wake us up to pray and encourage us to fast.infact i was 3oo level then still in school.my dad took leave and was sleeping in the hospital with my mom.everyday he will drive home to prepare food for my mom and beg her to eat.my mom said she wanted to die that the pain was too much,it was my dad that held the family together.he said she cant die now.we have many more years to be together and achieve a lot together.to cut the long story short,my dad was part of my moms success story and even me.he made sure i didnt know about mummys ill health and sent money to me when i was in school so i wouldnt suspect a thing.he did everything possible to make sure i didnt come home.he even lied to me that her phone was spoilt and she hasnt gotten a new one,not knowing he switched off her phone.it was until i finished from the universitu that i knew all these so why will i hate my dad.he is one of the best gifts given to me by God.he made sure i didnt have any carry over throughout my stay in the university,so many things i will always love my father for.i am where i am today by the mercies of God and my parents.if i didnt have my father,ill rather allow my mom to be a single mom.hes everything love can quantify

I am starting to strongly dislike mine but I would never go as far killing him ,I‘d rather just cut the ties with him.

"Hate" is such a strong word.

There's a very thin line between love and hate, both equally powerful and all consuming emotions.

Care to give us a bit more detail on why you feel this way towards your father?

Take the above posters advice, I have been in a somewhat similar situation, where I did not want to be associated with my dad.
As I got older I just realised there was no need crying over something that would not change, so I took a different approach and started living and enjoying my life ensuring that I did not make the same mistakes he made in life and tried to be a much better person than he ever was.

As for hating him, that's such a strong word, we may have our differences but I love my dad. You may not exactly see eye-to-eye with your dad but at one point your dad loved you (Probably still does), he would not have remained your dad if he didn't.
