Toothpaste won't help. If its recurrent there mite be a problem with the condyle, ligament or capsule (laxity) of his temporomandibular joint(likely causes)and dis usually require a surgical intervention i.e Eminectomy from a dentist specialized in oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Buh if its not recurrent just follow your doctors instructions,u have nothing or less to worry about

I like to use smokers toothbrush i feel it make my mouth cleaner, sometimes my gum will swell by morning. Since i hv stopped using
it, the swollen has reduce.
esperiense: Oral Hygiene Instructions
1) Brush twice daily(with fluoride-containing toothpaste and medium-textured toothbrush)- last thing @ nite before going to bed and after or before first meal in the morning
2)Never use tooth pick( but dental floss instead) on your teeth. Tooth pick is associated with early loss of teeth
3)Stay away from sugary things or brush after taking them
4)Don't subject yo teeth/mouth to any habit I.e thumb-sucking, tongue-thrusting, teeth-grinding etc
5)Have Scaling and Polishing done every 6 months
6)Don't use hard objects on teeth I.e opening drinks, smokers brush, needles

Toothpaste is not the cure for bad breath as it were. You need to visit a dental clinic where a thorough examination will be done for you to determine the cause. It may be simple for instance the source is from the mouth, maybe you have a hole in your tooth or you have gum disease or you are not brushing your tongue which houses many odour producing bacteria. And then again the source of the odour maybe from the lungs or oesophagus. It may even be imagined. Do see a dentist first

Re: Meet A Dentist by MsJanie: 11:14pm On Jun 27, 2013
I need an advise pls. Growing up I noticed that my right incisor (milk tooth) didn't leave for d permanent one to take its place. Den some years back I realised I had a growth behind d tooth. So I was forced to visit a dentist who took an xray den removed d milk tooth. After a while I visited d dentist again den took anoda xray which made d dentist realised d growth wasn't d permanent tooth as assumed earlier. D xray showed d permanent tooth far inside. So i removed d growth den settled for a denture after four months. Just few months ago, I started having pain, so I visited a different dentist dis time around who told me dat my permanent tooth moved to d surface and my denture is disturbing dat is why I feel so much discomfort. After taking anoda xray he noticed dat d tooth has no crown, it's a bad one according to him. Den he suggested I have a surgical extraction. My problem actually is I'm yet to go back cos I'm kinda scared of d pain d procedure will cause. So I'm asking a doctor, what other approach do u think will be a lot helpful and of minimal pain whatsoever? Thanks!

Hello Doc, i have this oral issue that bothers me. It started few months ago with a metallic taste in my mouth and slight burning sensation on my tongue, it then progressed to some borders coloration(map like shape)on the tongue which changes in appearance, shape and position, and recently i started noticing some cracks on my tongue. In all, i experience no pain or any discomfort but i am worried and curious.
Thanks

Hello there, I think you should see an oral pathologist(They should be available in teaching hospitals). They will carry out a 'biopsy' and tell you the exact condition and outline a treatment regimen. Do not delay much longer please. Goodluck.
