OP's claim is quite true for a BROKER, not only in the Petroleum Trade but also many others, but to operate Professionally he needs to position himself as somebody offering a VARIETY of solutions that can satisfy his customers / target audience, he also needs to package his business well & avail himself basic Etiquettes in being properly introduced/registered to all parties that he is dealing with to be able to be well rewarded for his services. However if not refinely done his image may not be viwed differently as better than a common tout.

The BROKER needs to equip himself with all the basic process in the industry, also matters relating Prices & how to get value for money are in high demand in most businesses
