Fasakin talks about the death of corps members in the 2011 post election violence.

The Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, spokesperson, Rotimi Fasakin, has said that some of the people who died in the 2011 post election violence were not university graduates participating in the mandatory National Youth Service Corps.

In 2011, immediately after the presidential election, some electorates, mostly CPC supporters took to violence to express their dissatisfaction with the election result. In the process, at least 50 people including nine serving corps. members in the state were killed,

The nine corps members were Adewumi Seun (Ekiti), Teidi Tosin (Kogi), Adowei Elliot (Bayelsa), Okpokiri Obinna (Abia), Gbenjo Ayotunde (Osun), Ukeoma Chibuzor (Imo), Nwazema Chukwuonyerem (Imo), Adeniji Jehleel (Osun) and Akonyi Sule (Kogi).

In continuation of PREMIUM TIMES interview series, Mr. Fasakin, speaking as regards the violence that erupted, said “some so called (NYSC) members were murdered, but in actual fact some of these people are IT consultants”.

He said his party traced one the victims through his facebook page and found out that “he graduated from UNN in 2006 where he studied computer science and is also a manager at a computer firm in Lagos.”

An uninteligent statement by an unrefined politician. Someone like this should just not speak in public: He lacks the capacity & ability to measure public emotions. His type will ruin the chances of a potentially excellent candidate @ the polls with his thoughtless utterances. CPC should sack this man unless they're all alike in ability.

No surprise here afterall the boss himself had blamed the 'PDP Kamfuter' for his electoral loss. This just falls in line with CPC's mode of reasoning.

CPC is a party for militants. So becos they didn't win, Nigerians who didn't share Party affilition became ram for slaughter. Their Boko Haram was readily available for them to orchestrate their evil agenda. How can such party be voted. When we need ssomalia vote CPC, now we need a better nigeria

SMH at the level of reasoning of a supposed spokesman of a national party. Must CPC always present rams like Buhari and Fasakin as representatives? How can they change Nigeria with this level of reasoning? Maybe cows will sound more logical than this loquacious idiotic trying to undo the evil deed of his party. Your party should just ask Nigerians for forgiveness and move on rather than sounding more and more stupid.
