Alexkene: Its seems when D’banj announced he had signed a distribution deal in Africa with Sony Music Africa, no eyebrows were raised despite his previous announcement that he had was setting up the African wing of island Def Jam. Maybe you guys don’t know when you are signed to Island Def Jam you get distributed by Music Distribution Giants Universal Music Group.

Wandering why kanye didn’t attend the kokoconcert? According to sources in the Dbanj camp, the Nollywood-like tale began immediately after KokoMaster’s split from ex-producer Don Jazzy. As Kanye thought he was getting a double dose of Africa music with Dbanj and Don Jazzy on the same page, only for that ship to sail before even docking. The height of the quit notice was when his album release slated for 12/12/12 was canceled indefinitely, because his Oga Boss, Kanye West felt the production effort of Nigeria Producer Jay Sleek was not good enough. He also was not happy because Don Jazzy refused to supervise the production of the Album.

Also when Dbanj announced that he would be signing with Sony Music Africa, and not Universal Music South Africa.

An insider also claimed the reason why Kanye allowed Big Sean and Pusha T to come for the Koko Concert was in act of sympathy but turned down pleas of him making an appearance.

Though no official statement has being released but frantic efforts is currently being made by the Koko master to change the mind of Kanye West. Fingers crossed on how that pans out.
