It was déjà vu yesterday as Nigeria’s president Goodluck Jonathan gave his ministers marching orders to either sit up and produce results or resign their positions. Leadership reports that there had been speculations about a possible cabinet shake-up this January, following the president’s worries about the level of performance of government and the negative perception of his administration. The president told his ministers that although most of the criticisms against the administration were orchestrated by the opposition for some selfish reasons, they must work hard on his transformation agenda to prove them wrong.

If your ministers are not performing, it's because you're not a good leader. A good leader will choose a good cabinet and will inspire them to perform. If you're not inspiring then your workers won't perform. Before he sacks his ministers, he should sack himself first.
