I watched the match Togo vs Algeria from the beginning right to the end. The Togolese played a fantastic football despite the fact that Algeria kept them under pressure. They were physically able to withstand the adrenaline of the Algerians despite the over-time. The super eagles of Nigeria do not have the technical ability to withstand pressure anymore. I bet that if it were the Super Eagles that opened the score and were leading like 1-0 against their opponent, Algeria would have found a way to break through, equalise the goal and still win the match. Nigerian team does not have the composure and the ability to defend well right to the end like the Togolese team did. They just seem to lose the grip that bonds them together and create unnecessary chances for their opponents to take advantage of them. Gone are the days when Nigeria will score more than two goals in a row in a match at least to secure a perfect victory. Now we are in a tight corner against Ethiopia. It's a shame how Nigeria football no longer solicit or arouse interest in Africa or in the International arena. Our football team has gone down the drain and our team is now compared to the mediocrity of young developing teams of Africa. It's pitiable! Really gutted.
