President Barack Obama will be sworn in today for a 2nd term as President. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the White House, as from 5pm Nigerian time. The actual oath taking will commence at 6pm Nigerian time. Then, on Monday, Jan 21st, there will be a public inaugural address by the President. This will take place at premises of the Capitol Hill, the seat of the US Congress. Let's post our thoughts on this thread! 1 Like |

Come and tag along with me, special credentials here...direct access to Mr. Obama himself. @OP, I don't think a lot of people will come for the event in DC, DC is not crowded like it was four years ago (a day before the event). |

Although Barack Obama focuses more on the arab world than Africa and somewhat acts like a French stooge against Africa,one can be happy that the son of an african made it through the top in a land that deported more than 100 million africans as slaves. Update: Later today, by 6pm Nigerian time, President Obama will take the oath of office in public view, and thereafter give his inaugural speech. CNN's coverage of the event begins at 3pm Nigerian time. |
