salt 1: You've just made me laugh again! (If only you knew ) But let me help you anyway. My posts don't sound neutral to you because it appears that you believe that one hate is good, while another is bad. Secondly, on this thread people have shown hatred towards the emir. Go read my posts on threads in which people have shown hatred towards whites, christians, Goodluck Jonathan, Babatunde Fashola, etc and come back and show me how smart you are. Ad hominen arguments are the bane of nairaland. I've been called an A.C.N goon, a Federal Government Agent, a "slave to white people", a deluded Nigerian, a "yoruba boy", "one of the grabbing elites", all because people, when they have no points to argue, resort to personal attacks. |

It amazes me that some people can only see issues through bigoted lenses. When something happens the first question they ask is, "where is he/she from?", rather than "is he right?". It's strange, you can't fight against injustice except the person is from your town or shares the same religion with you! Pathetic! 2 Likes |

I've been following you from your Nigeria @52 thread and I've never been privileged to learn so much from someone as much as I've learnt from you. Its people like you that give me the hope that we can still succeed as a nation. Thumbs up to you. You are my NL hero! |

nagoma: Thank you very much. A lot of terrible mistakes have been made in our history. It will take serious re-orientation to correct them. Some people want Nigeria to remain one because they remember a time when things were better; others want Nigeria to split because they can see how bad things have become. |

nagoma: As usual, you seemed stuck dead on the wrong side of the political aisle. Nigeria shall not be divide into north and south but multiple nation states with ethnic affinity as the determining factor. If Nigeria is destined to divide, Republic of Igbo land must be highly considered. |

babagy82:what makes you think the emir is clean. To me he is just trying to cover his track. By planing an attack on him self so that all fingers pointing at him will be cleared. If the hired killers can get to his drivers and body guards how come they never got to him or does that not seem suspicious to you. Especially when the emir is the target |

The incident is the reality of Professor Obiageli Ezekwesili's prediction. That the children that were not given proper education in Nigeria will be the one to kill the ones sent by their fathers abroad to get better education, "paraphrased". If they start with their fathers now, I think it is a wake up call. I agree with Babangida. These people have pegged the level to which, the people they are leading, can rise in life. They have used the Arabic education, in the name of religion, to disorientate their people now the extreme result is Boko Haram, which has become an over night monster tormenting them. It will take the North 100 years to nurture and re-orientate their citizen before absolute peace will return to that part of Nigeria. The earlier it starts the better. Their children attend Harvard, Oxford and best university in the world on the account of Federal Government. It is not right that is why these wrongs are happening to them, but it has just started and I believe, Nairaland will contribute a long way to address a lot of societal slavery that our politicians have put us into. Many Northern youths now have access to the Internet and are reading the NL posts. Whether we call it Regional discrimination or whatever, truth lies in between lies and the truth are always embeded in most of the NL posts about the situation of the North an the Politics that have grounded all the youths from that region. The leaders should try and see from another angle what will North be if all in the region are well educated. Time will judge. |

naptu2: The NYSC experience is real humor. A masterpiece ( I am admiring this Person more and more). How did I miss that? When is it going to be published? As for the rooster torture/ slaughter tutorial, I can see a hands-on experience in the manual. I wouldn't have believed that she could do that to chicken!! President Jonathan got into trouble after his visit to Police college when he asked " why were police recruits treated like poultry chicken ? " All the poultry farmers felt insulted by the comparison and are preparing a legal action. They said chicken formed a significant proportion of the president's 1 billion Naira food purchased last year so he should know the value of chicken. I am only going this far to alert you to warn your friend, who can be a co- respondent in this lawsuit. 2 Likes |
