Heard this name from someone: Oluwajobaninuogbagethsemanemi (Yoruba name)- meaning: God reigns in my garden of Gethsemane.
NB: Gethsemane is the garden Jesus Christ had his last prayers on the night of his arrest.
I wonder what the shortened form would be!

passion007: Pardon me, but Delta Igbo sounds like a 'caricature' of Igbo...I don't mean to be rude but it just sounds so funny. Chirohem. -- Chilotem
Chishelim -- Chibuliem

Diversity really is beautyful!

Yes ooh,u can say dat again.I wouldn't classify it as a caricature, but even they are being diversified. Its actually the manipulation dat really baffles me.but its beautiful.

passion007: There are a few names I absolutely love but which would be askew for a 21st century child:
Ebinuko - 'the one who feeds fat during famine'
Ngwumsinachiabia - 'my honour comes from my God'
Uko - 'commendable pride'
Ositadinma - 'if things become better henceforth...'
Nkoli - I don't know what the name means but the girl gave my sister a tough time in school

However the names I find trendy are:

Chidumebi -- Chidum, Dumebi
Somadina
Lotenna
Zimuzo (I actually invented this name for a drama I wrote back in secondary school, so imagine my shock when I asked an 18 year old boy his name and he said -- Zimuzo. So much for my invention!)
nkoli, short 4 nkolika has to do wit doze who gossip
