I met symbian starting from my days in campus,started den wt nokia 6600 (sis) very gud lookin,portable en wonderfull fon as at den, after two yrs i migrate to another wonderfull one by name nokia 6670 (sis) hmmmm wen men were boys d fon got me soo many gud contacts including gals(pino-pino),as if dt ws nt enough i migrated again to nokia E61i (sisx) en my life in IT world changed very big as i receive en send mails everywhere i go just like MTN,download en upload files my lapi becomes almost useless for sometime den.........,as days gone by i discover i am gettin outdated i migrated again to nokia E7 en i discover a new fone,new technology ..........hmmmmmm nokia E7 i pull my cap for you.
Here i am today receivin d greatest shock of my life in IT world dt my symbian whom i v lived with for a decade nw is abt to go,Oh God let dis b a joke or better a rumour dt can never b trueth cus my heart ll broken.......

i loved you symbian... frm my 6680 to E51 to the C5 we went thru a lot... os hacks, free browsing tweaks, played mad games on thee hell u still got the best mobile suite on PC... RIP Symbian...

Nokia plz plz PLZ just trying running android on at least the Lumia 920... I'll so ditch my S2 and cone back to you....

Android cld make all the waves now & with thousands of applicatns,everyone seems to be jumping on its platform but for some of us who ve been with nokia(symbian) all the way,we are waiting with bated breath for their 'window 8 phones',a world apart,capable of running programmes that will make android look archaic!'window 8' phones will definately be ahead of his time!'The patient dog eats the largest bone'!

Obviously we all had our first true smartphone experience on the symbian OS...the next generation will never understand the quintessential role it played in the advancement of mobile operating systems, but for us, we know better. Symbian will remain in our hearts forever...

funny enough though, with their line of Asha Abominations, it seems Nokia still has no plan to take down the century old S40

why nt stop java instead of symbia.

Is this really true? I will really miss symbian OS when it is gone. I have been with symbian for years now. We grew up together and had lots of fun times. It was there during my ups and downs and served as a companion during times of boredom.
Learned how to hack and tweak with it, discovered countless badass applications.
Oh well.
I just have to move onto another OS now.
Symbian is going out of fashion.

But Nokia sells the highest number of phones in the low end market today. I still felt they would have kept producing it as they are relatively cheap. Imagine how many people nokia torch dey serve. Hehehe...

For the highend market, they can still compete effectively. But someone like me will need a miracle to buy a phone of N50k. Costly phones are so low on my priority list. Anyway, things do change.

RIP my first love (Symbian OS) from Nokia 3660, 6600, 3230, N70 and finally N91 before I swore my allegiance to Android in October 2010.

I hope their new windows phones is gonna worth it. Don't understand why they can't manufacture both though. Smh
