I dont know if he selected that squad Based on Sentiment or NFF Pressure...
1. Taye Taiwo, Nigeria's "BEST" setpeice Taker@ the moment Penalty/Freekicks(long-range), was not included, instead he was replaced by that Echejiele guy- for Crying out loud, who did Keshi expect to take efficient setpeices, Mikel

2. Till tomorow I dont believe Musa was the one favored over Osaze, kai! Lets face it, Osaze's worst day on the pitch is far better than what I saw Musa doing today

3. Why pick Brown Ideye over Joel Obi, when Joel was fit whyyyyyy

4. Its clear to see 4:4:2 formation doesnt work with Nigeria again, with the kind of players present on the Nigerian team he should experiment with 3:4:3 or others

have you guys seen enyeama's post-match interview?
he murdered the officials - he said his penalty call was the worst decision he has seen in the history of football. he said with people like that referee, african football cannot move forward.

he's definitely right - nigeria got robbed.
the zambian striker was actually the one holding the defender. that being said, musa shouldn't have started at all. majority of our attacks broke with him miscontrolling the ball.


keshi went with the wrong squad but i still expect him to qualify in that group. our next opponent is the weakest team in the group. if we beat them then 5 points is enough to qualify us from that group!

The next headache for Keshi will be to choose one of Efe Ambrose or Onazi for the right-back position on Tuesday.

Keshi has shown a severe lack of technical skills with his choice of players and has allowed sentiments to becloud his decision to exclude certain players.

Now I really miss Osaze, Martins, Kalu Uche and Taiwo.

What was Ik Uche doing on the bench for so long with a player like Musa still on the pitch?

What was the motive of attempting to substitute Emenike. It even disgracefully appeared that there was a bit of confusion in the attempted substitution.

For a player like him, Mikel was quite careless with the ball throughout the game.

Onazi was fantastic. He played confidently and it showed.


I could go on and on... Disappointing really.

Guy you no dey watch game! Emeneke is the most impressive player in that team. He hustles for ball, creates chances and converts some. If we have two like him upfront, we'll score like basketball.

what you think is simple is not that simple - the required weight must be applied. if it's less, emenike won't get the ball and if the weight is more, then the ball would run out of play.

what are you talking about? he just simply did what is expected of him. there was nothing spectacular about the pass.

Lol, I have not played football at top level but i'v watched consistently for close to 2 decades now. I repeat there is nothing WORLD CLASS about the pass. It was a good pass, that is all. If you watch Barca game often you'll see once in a while what we call WORLD CLASS passing (comes once in a while).
And you didnt have to explain "required weight" to me, no be yesterday I stay watch ball na.

if musa had done that "simple" task twice today, nigeria would have won by a big margin. nothing is simple in football. mikel had to put that ball in emenike's path without emenike altering his stride to receive the ball......

you are all blabbing shit..why dont you guys go into the pitch and play.its high time we all stop raining insults on the super eagles.you are all saying ahmed musa did'nt perform the you all watch the match as just mere viewers waiting for a magical goals and superb performance or as people who have the ideology on how football is played.musa overlapped throughout the game and same did victor moses and i'm made to belive it was how the wingers were told to play.if a northerner sees this he'l probably think you guys are just trying to pass blames cause he's hausa.the super eagles played how well they could possibly play it was just that it did'nt favour them.your all talking negatively i just pray that we all learn to speak positively as positive talks at times begats positive outcomes

What really annoys me about this game is that, how can someone who doesn't work with the players know their faults and the Coach doesn't.

This is what I said after the Burkina Faso Match:




I'll say it again, Obiora is very slow, he also came in against Cape Verde. I hope Coach Keshi leaves that boy out.

Also, Mikel is not good at tackling, that is not part of the game, if Ogude goes forward, who shields our defenders.

By the way, Siasia dropped Ibrahim Rabiu, one of the stars expected for U20 World Cup then for Obiora Nwankwo and it cost us in that tourney.

Obiora Nwankwo is warming the bench at the Serie B. How did Coach Keshi find him. It is clear that there is someone big paying money and pulling strings to get that boy playing time.

Mark my words, if Coach Keshi starts that boy in any of this group stage matches, it will cost us the game.



There is no way at the point of the game we were, the Obiora Nwankwo change clearly took away the midfield totally. I am so disappointed in Coach Keshi.

Secondly why did he continue attacking when he was to defend.

Finally, we were trying to win the game and needed a goal in the final part of the match. Yet Coach Keshi wanted to bring out the tournament top goal scorer instead of adding an extra striker to make it 3 Strikers up front.

When I saw Emenike about to go out, I was shocked. Amokachi just saved Coach Keshi by stopping that change. I hope Coach Keshi gets sacked because he clearly is lost tactically. A kid on the street who watches matches regularly understands football tactics more than him who used to be a professional player and has Coached National teams.

You can imagine Burkina Faso was a goal up when their Goal Keeper conceded a red Card. You could see the tactical change made by the coach and the players discussing positions and formations with him. The went on to score 3 more goals.

If it was the SUPER EAGLES, they will concede a goal. This tourney so far has been very irritating.

Finally Mikel's penalty loss can't be fully blamed because he worked hard individually to create the goal scoring opportunity we used to score.

I also said:

I am saying that putting Obiora into that team will bring calamity to us. Coach Keshi shouldn't even try that. He is slower than Mikel and he won't help the team.

Pulling out Victor Moses who was tracking back and winning the ball for a striker was too ridiculous. I still don't get how the team was able to prepare so well, Omeruo was so brilliant in the defense, Onazi as a RB was fantastic. The midfield combination was on top of the game for 70 mins and then the Coach destroys every thing with his changes.

At the time of changing Victor Moses who was helping out in defending the goal, removing someone like that will be for someone who will fortify the defense. Instead he brought in Ideye a striker. This has been a disappointment. I hope the Ethiopian game is approached with more seriousness and tactical awareness.

I was also surprised that Moses was substituted; he worked very hard today. I just hope that he starts the next match, and play for the entire 90 mins, barring any injury.

I just found another statement I made then:



We should not even try that Obiora Nwankwo of a person. He is too slow and a poor tackler. Mikel isn't good at tackling or isn't fast tracking back. So Obiora would not help Mikel.

Mikel's game is passing and moving forward to control the game. We need a ball winner/tackler to win the ball back for him. Just as Sani Kaita did at the U20 World Cup.

What killed us was Ogude bombarding forward. If he had stayed fixed in front of the defense and winning the ball, he would have had a better game. When Ogude goes forward, he has to tackle roughly to win the ball. I will still go with Ogude but he shouldn't overlap. Just the way Makalele does it.




I wonder how the coach couldn't see it.

I was busy, so I started watching d game from d 67th min. From wat I saw, victor Moses was really tired. D eagles should win their last match. In a competition, it is all about building up momentum from d first game to d later games. D eagles are actually a difficult team to beat, and dat makes dem one of d favorite 4 d cup.

Im not sure you what the match or know what football is all about.
Emenike did very well,very strong and unyielding against the towering and bullish Sunzu.
Im surprised you didnt see that,he had few chances to shoot at target and did very well.
Even his goal was a difficult one and still had the calmness and guile to beat his marker before scoring.

You guys thought everyone who runs mouth after the match actually saw the match. Some only listened to live commentary on transistor radios. I won't be surprise if hollandish happens to be one of them grin Because only on radio commentary mid field is called box 18 and loss ball at the corner kick spot area is called close to the goal post grin
