The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has rated the economy of Anambra as among the strongest in the country. The Branch Manager of the bank in Awka, Mr Okoro Azubuike, announced the rating in Awka on Thursday when he received the Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku, who was on good governance tour of the state. Azubuike said the deposit mobilisation on the state was third in the country behind Lagos and Kano, while it ranked fourth in terms of the presence of commercial and micro-finance banks. He said the commercial cities of Onitsha and Nnewi were large and had made the state the commercial base of the South- east region. In his remarks, Governor Peter Obi said the bank was crucial to the commercial activities of the state, adding that the government had resolved to fast track the construction of its permanent. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/cbn-ranks-anambra-third-in-deposit-mobilisation/137412/ |

Away from all those junk leprous infested statistics fit only for maggots, here is something we can use. Verifiable facts and Figures from authoritative institutions just like that of JAMB. Not just 'Yemi' from Nigeria Bureau of Statistics or Overseasnews.com, Wikipedia or some lazy old men who have nothing doing with their time dishing out unverifiable stats about economic development. Anambra is even ahead of Rivers. Good stuff |

Mr. Globe: Nwanne biko when will you stop all these unnecessary attack. Do you think that the FG appointed Obi as the SA on Finance to the presidency if he was a dunce or non-performer. Everybody has his style of governance. Obi has brought Anambra to the international lime-light by attracting major multinationals and businesses to the state. Thereby making more banks branches to troop into the state to open more offices and in the same vein create more employment for the people of the state and Nigeria at large. Everybody must not be satisfy at the same time with governance. Even in Akwaibom with all work so far done in the state, not everybody is supporting the governor in the state. Its like that nwanne, wetue obi gi biko |
