Truth of the matter is the OP is possessed for the following reasons: 1)She was so uncomfotable as the preaching started. 2) She started shouting at the man because the demon in her could not stand the preaching. 3) The demon in her wanted to use her to deter others from hearing the Word. The cab driver is a true MOG for the following reasons: 1) He was ready for God's work anywhere and anytime and in the presence of anybody. 2) When the devil tried using the OP to stop him from preaching, the Spirit in him fought back by preaching even louder. 3) The devil wanted to use the accident to disrupt the preaching because the devil knew the man was preaching the truth capable of saving souls. @OP, what you are unaware of is that probably you were supposed to die that day but the strong MOG (cab driver) saved you because you entered his cab. The devil attempted to take your life that morning but the presence of the man actually saved you. Repent of your sins OP, ask for forgiveness, give your life to Christ and preach the Word to others. Stay blessed! |

FXKing2012: Truth of the matter is the OP is possessed for the following reasons: According to your logic, if a turbaned man enters a plane, gets up and starts reciting muslim quotes, anyone that feels uncomfortable is possessed? And I'm sure you will too [No offense to the muslims]... Or any safety response your body gives you means you are possessed also? when a cockroach crawls on you, you are possessed because you felt uncomfortable? if you are trying to convince anyone that you aren't too bright then 2 posts of this nonsense has done the job Stay blessed |

he wanted to kill 2 birds with one stone.make you know the word of God and accept Christ then, kill you so you make heaven. OP if any body says you are evil for stopping that demon man from taking your life, just call the person ogbanje that person is one of the agents the devil is using to cause accidents and drink blood. thank the real God for your safety. God cannot be mocked. its the typical card the real possessed people who mount speakers beside hospitals, schools and other public places to call for tithes and offerings under the guise of preaching Christ and do 1 million vigils just for offering sake play. if you or your child need peace and you go complain about their noise, they call you possessed. |

The things of God always irritate the reprobate mind!!! If this same driver was busy talking politics, social gossip, or any issue that the OP was interested in, this wouldn't have become a thread issue that we're trying to flog here. If the driver had chatted with the OP on a topic of interest, he wouldn't have even remembered that he was behind the wheels (you may deny that now though) Worse, you came on a platform like this to garner support from people to soothe your conscience...the Holy Spirit is the conscience of a true Christian; he doesn't go out asking people to help him prick his conscience |

I will not discuss the driver because I do not have his side of the story. I know from experience that the fact that a commercial bus brushed past the cab does not mean the driving wasn't mean the driver wasn't concentrating. Secondly your route abule egba to VI surely is one that will have slow moving traffic during the early stages of the journey. So I believe most of the preaching was done when you were experiencing slow moving traffic. Your reponse to the act of the driver shows some underlining issues; 1. Your faith - You believe your security lies in the driver focusing on driving you safely. While I am not advocating recklessness which I believe the driver also wasn't doing I believe as a christian you should know that your safety is primarily from God. You could have lovingly requested that the man should be careful. 2. Your Love -Bible says love is kind and not easily provoked and love covers multitude of sins. Did you show love to the man. Where you kind, patient or did you overlook his seeming wrong. Did you show love to Christ by offering to continue the preaching when you thot the man was getting distracted. 3. Your Spiritual sensitivity - Bible clear states that if our hearts condemn us then we have got stuffs to settle with God. You need to search your heart. God's primary concern is that souls be saved was that your primary concern. The great Commission requires urgency and is really not a respecter of decorum. To my brothers who have suggested that decorum should be placed before the preaching of the gospel I think we need to do a digging deep of the scriptures to know that decorum sometimes could be anti-gospel. The question is- the driver is taking steps in his way to preach the gospel, are you? Let he who has never held a discussion with anyone while driving continue to castigate the driver. 1 Like |

There are more churches in Nigeria than anywhere on earth and the country is moving backwards because of people like the driver and those supporting him. Christianity is way a life, and Christ calls all believers to be diligent in what ever they do. Was the driver diligent in his driving? No. Christ spent most of his time preaching in the wilderness because he knows the value of free will. |

yam: @ 0. There is nothing like private cab here, its simply a commercial cab cos he is not doing it for free. Maybe you should define what u mean by private cab... |

Nigerians are not trained to drive, most nigerian driver are time bombs in vehicles, especially with the death trap roads. Road safety in nigeria is miraculous. |

@OP You did nothing wrong. I'd have done worse. This is what religion causes - it makes you throw away your common sense. Driving is an activity which requires 100% concentration, esp during rush hour. But I understand that most Nigerians would not see anything wrong in his action because we've been brainwashed beyond measure. If there had been an accident and you survived, you'd have understood better. ![]() |

sucrecandy: So, it was the early hours of a monday morning, the usual boisterous noise of people rushing to work, horns blaring here and there, i had woken up a little bit late than usual, in the mad rush, i ruled out the possibility of taking the BRT bus to save time, i was still shock-stranded at abule egba bus stop thinking of how to get to the lagos island and arrive in the office not later than 8:15 fully aware that any minute i dangle after that would send a cold query flying into my email from my mean, insatiable boss. sucrecandy: So, it was the early hours of a monday morning, the usual boisterous noise of people rushing to work, horns blaring here and there, i had woken up a little bit late than usual, in the mad rush, i ruled out the possibility of taking the BRT bus to save time, i was still shock-stranded at abule egba bus stop thinking of how to get to the lagos island and arrive in the office not later than 8:15 fully aware that any minute i dangle after that would send a cold query flying into my email from my mean, insatiable boss.[quote author=sucrecandy]So, it was the early hours of a monday morning, the usual boisterous noise of people rushing to work, horns blaring here and there, i had woken up a little bit late than usual, in the mad rush, i ruled out the possibility of taking the BRT bus to save time, i was still shock-stranded at abule egba bus stop thinking of how to get to the lagos island and arrive in the office not later than 8:15 fully aware that any minute i dangle after that would send a cold query flying into my email from my mean, insatiable boss. I was still making my mental journey when this private taxi cab stopped infront of me, the driver shouting "V.I! V.I!" . I hurriedly rushed into the car muttering "thank you God" under my breath. The driver drove off immediately as the car filled up in a minute. We had barely drove into the highroad going towards oshodi when this driver went off: "Good morning brethren, you know looking at the things happening around us today, its no doubt the end is near, and the son of God would come for his people". At first i thought he was just going to say a few words of prayer but instead he continued "you fornicators, adulterers, thieves its time you give your life to christ". He went on for another 10 minutes. Puzzled, I then looked around only to find out the other people in the car didn't find any discomfort as I did as they all felt cool and relaxed to the sermon. Don't get me wrong, I'm a believer and a practising christian, I'm no saint, but I do my bit, keep the faith and pray to God too, but to have this old man here preaching and at the same time controlling the wheels is just out of it. As if I was sharing same thoughts with the devil, an overtaking danfo bus in top speed brushed past us, and the driver in his half-focused state took to the brakes in a very sharp thud causing the car to jerk upwards, immediately i shouted angrily to the driver to "STOP THE SILLY PREACHING" and focus on the driving. To my amazement only few of the other passengers joined me to caution the driver. He still wouldn't budge. Our counter-attack became his fuel, he raised his tone a decibel higher, he quoted the scriptures, he screamed, he preached but I didn't let him win, I attacked him, ranted, screamed too, I made sure I made him uncomfortable and his noisy preaching met with very noisy tantrums. It was not until he dropped me off, and i was walking into the office that this throat strangling thing called conscience got hold of me. I began to think i might have been the "Black Devil with two short horns" in the whole episode. I will advice you not to be hard on yourself. What you did is absolutely right cos if any bad incident should happen, what will be the reward for preaching, I believe message is only for the living and not the dead. more so, I don't know why the christian in this country believed that the only template to live is only with them cos if other religion in nigeria should follow this way of preaching in the buses, taxes, some cases where no preaching in boldly written on the bus, you see them defying and shout on top of their voices. I hope something will be done before this this bring another dangerous trend for the country anyway |
