There was a beginning and that is why you and I are here and that beginning was and still is what we call God and He is in us and we are in Him. As He said "Let us make man in our image and after our likeness."

He is a Spirit and that Spirit is what makes things both living and non-living, both visible and invisible to exist.

Lest you forget, the scriptures of the Old Testament were written before the birth of Jesus Christ and there was no Holy Bible as a book until the 4th century.

the old testament was compiled by moses and his cronies. During the Pagan days when all Hebrews, Israelites ,etc. , were worshippers of Baal, no old testament existed.
