it is true..their old staff have been having problem since...but i guess they want to restructure the ministry...i think we should be less concern wt the restructuring going on there and face our test first..this is Nigeria... anything can happen

@ Gboliwe. If u had read dat post wel, ofcos u wil c dat i stated it clearly dat d post is subject 2 confirmation. Dat statement was an inscription on 1 of d protesters placard as reported by source...,of wc i doubted as wel. A reason i pleaded dat those in abj suld help us confirm.
I later found out it was some ex-staff of nimc who were sacked 4 not meeting up wit 6 yrs period of grace given 2 them by management 2 acquire university education. Their grievance being dat their entitlement was nt fully paid.
I expected u 2 cum up wit an info... rather u saw d post as an avenue 2 start feeling 2 intelligent and throwing unnecessary insult.

No its verbal maths and historical ?s......that's all....so if u know d history of Nimc and verbal questions well u go pass even if say u no sabi maths

For those going to Ilorin from Owerri, sequel to my 1st post on page 4, the only available vehicle that moves direct to Ilorin from Owerri is Kwara Express. They operate out of ITC park along MCC road. Departure days are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays only. Departure time is between 7 and 8am, though they could leave earlier. Fare is 4,060 or thereabouts. I am sure this solves the issue of transportation.

On how to save cost, I want to believe that everyone invited for the test must have experienced NYSC. Basing on that, I would suggest that we all could double-team with anyone of your choice to share a hotel room or room in a guest house. That way, the cost would be halved. It is just a suggestion. You can take it or ignore it.

Since mine is for the 23rd which is a Saturday, I would be leaving on Thursday. So people in my shoes will find themselves spending more on accommodation cos of the extra day(s). It could be longer if there is no vehicle heading down to the east the day after we are done with the test. That means another day more. Hence the suggestion.

i aplid 4 enrolment &reg officer too. I ve discoverd dt similar position r placed @same centre.

the NIMC exam starts from 23rd of feb, they sent msgs accross to applicants who were successful in registering...but there is a problem, they changed all the prefered exam centres, those who prefered to sit for the exam in porthacourt were sent to Kwara and oyo state...likewise other prefered exam centres...now the risk and cost of travelling bcomes high. Sacked staff of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) yesterday barricaded all the gates of the National Assembly Complex and barred senators, members of the House of Representatives, legislative aides and others from getting access.
The NIMC staff, in their hundreds, stormed the National Assembly Complex as early as 8am to protest their dismissal. About 4,600 of them were reportedly dismissed.
Some of the protesters told Daily Trust that they kept vigil near the legislative complex on Monday night to get access yesterday.
Security men on duty watched helplessly as most of the stranded legislators returned home and many workers parked their cars outside the complex and resorted to trekking to their respective offices.
The protesters were seen displaying placards bearing inscriptions such as “NIMC DG must go,” “NIMC DG is deceiving Nigerians,” “Onyemenam is enemy of progress,” among others.
Their leader, Ushe Fidelis, said they were protesting the plan by the management of NIMC to recruit 18,600 after dismissing 4,600 staff.
The protesters rejected entreaties by the chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence and National Intelligence, Senator Mohammed Magoro and the Vice chairman of the Senate Committee on National Identity and Population, Senator Abdulmumuni Hassan.
