Hello house, please i need advice on making a choice between. 1996 lexus ls400 and 1996 Toyota camry orobo in reference to cost of maintenance, toughness, cost of spare parts and above all fuel consumption. Tnx

The ls 400 packs a powerful 4.0liter v8 engine. Its also very luxurious and sweet to drive.
However that massive engine is a gas guzzler and the parts are expensive.
The 96 camry comes with either a 2.2 4cyl engine or a 3.0 v6 engine. The 4cyl is very economical and the parts are very affordable.
If u like speed and engine power u can choose the v6.the ride is smooth and the car is reliable But I'd advise u to stay away from the lexus especially as an only car.its durable and luxurious but the fuel bill is crazy.I had an lx450. Very rugged truck but a bloody drunk.

1996 Toyota Camry i4 and v6 have the same mpg for the autotrans types.

Since there is no fuel economy advantage, go for V6.

I drive a lexus LS400 the parts are not expensive very affordable and the car is very strong and rugged. The fuel economy is surprising for the engine size. Pls don't listen to rumors. For u to be contemplating on a lexus it shows u have taste for a good machine. Its a rear wheel drive,no shaft issues and u get to service twice a year just like dem benz,bmw,etc . The parts are very durable,for 18mths now I have not touched stuff like suspension,ball joints,thyroid,arms and I live in an area wit very bad roads.

I can see you have sold the car already. Why did you sell? Secondly, i want to know about the Fuel Economy of the vehicle as per the fact that it has a V8 Engine. I was surprised when you said it does not guzzle fuel so much os i know V8 engines can suck alotta fuel
