There! I knew it and I so said Many a time have I been hooked In fear did I depart the thread 'Cos I dread my heart to be spooked Still my thoughts duel on the lines My fragile heart sparks 'n glows in them As the bee to the flower flies I yielded completely to its rhythm Back 'n behold their numbers increased And the streaming of their art seduced They beguile, excite, tickle and tease Why then should I escape from such a grip That led me through the nostalgia of my youth And opens mine eyes to see the beauty of a land A distant land that holds the promise The promise I so longed and eternally dreamed A dream of endless happiness and bliss Sweet is poetry to the gracious mind! 1 Like |
